A silly question really. Do you think they'll update MO & SW by replacing the Xbox buttons on screen to a keyboard buttons?

If they don't, It like be a baddly ported Xbox ROM.

I really hope they did change the button screen, it would feel so rushed and unpolished otherwise.

PLEASE !!! I am dying for these games to be released on PC. But I hope it will be one of the better PC ports where effort has been made.

I knew about this for a year now just didn't think they would actually do it but there you go.

Hey no double posting.
Also brilliant idea here:

Roid.

Being that 95% of us are Oddworld fanatics, I think Roid needs no introduction. If he was supposed to be in the game to begin with, what's to stop hackers from finishing what Lorne started? And if it's on the PC hacks will be easy.

Will they enhance the 2 old games, or just rerelease it? Abes Oddyssee in HD would be so awesome. I hope they include a level editor too.

...

How do you suggest they do that, given that they don't have the CG models to import in to the game and the levels have not been designed with Roid gameplay in mind?

There is no point asking us to make things happen, we are only fans discussing the games.

The old 2D Abe games are already released on steam and they have not been upgraded to HD.

First, that's two different members who just happen to have the same avatar. Took me a while to realize that, too.

Second, I doubt anyone will be messing with the game that much. Consider how hard it's been for anyone to make meaningful edits to AO and AE, and they've been on PC for over ten years.

Well, I'm sorry for being optimistic. All I'm saying is Roid is awesome and was meant to be in the game. Since he was meant to be in originally, hacking wouldn't be that hard. We're putting stuff in an empty spot, not changing something or replacing something. Also, on the subject of impossibility, didn't people call Geno in Brawl ridiculous and impossible? Xyedit was a genius. And I think you should learn something from him.

And Guekko? Had you lived in Alberta I could introduce you to my father, the 2nd greatest computer genius alive. The 1st is his friend Barclay. He has tons of spare parts for computers. He helped me build one.

Alright, there we go for proving everyone wrong. Exept for Guekko because Guekko is awesome.

Nothing wrong with being optimistic, except when it gets your hopes up beyond what reality can provide. Roid was originally going to be in the game during the concept stages of the game's development, not during the level building. I have no idea what you're saying about Brawl, but I'm guessing you mean that in theory it can be done. Sure, in theory. It's just a matter of getting precisely the right sequence of 1s and 0s. But the probability of that happening is low.

2010 is the likely release date. (Possibly Q3/Q4?)

Lorne hoped for pre-Christmas, so I'd be more optimistic and suggest Q1/Q2.

Steam is an online games shop. When you buy a game, you can download it. If you lose the game from your computer, you can download it again. No discs, no delivery.

Two questions:

1. Do the games come with manuals?

2. Are AO & AE the PC or PlayStation versions?

The games normally come with PDF or electronic manuals.
The versions on Steam should be the PC ones.

I bought AO off of Steam, this is very convenient. I can't wait for MO and SW to be on Steam, this is great news! I'll be sure to buy those two as well when they're available.

Oddworld games on Steam need achievements . That would be cool.
