Probably. I can't think of any substantial benefits of DIscord over IRC, yet significant downsides.

Discord notifies you if someone posts, Slashnet webclient doesn't. Also, you can paste images or link youtube videos without the receiver having the need to open it in a new tab.

Yes.

Here’s a neat tip: when cooking steak, rub some salt into the meat for around 40 minutes or so before you actually put it in the pan – it improves the flavor.
