I think the new site will definitely have information about what to expect. I'm unsure of how concise it will be.

It's a fan. MunchGabbit has asked AbeMudokon several times for information about what JAW are up to, when info will be released, etc. Xavier also noticed that MunchGabbit's times of tweeting suggest it's someone from the US, which JAW isn't.

Yes, the PSN thing is totally unrelated to Oddworld. I've been playing a friends title at work on a test station, and yesterday their trophies went live, BEFORE release, so peeps can see that this particular game is on it's way.

Apparently there is still going to be an Oddworld movie but its not in production at the moment

Yea i know about the concept (been following the forums for a while) it seemed like and interesting idea. Im not sure but wasnt this one of the reason OI closed down because they wanted to make a movie?

Also hopefully we might find out some interesting things out with the link you gave us, i know he is under a non disclosure agreement but he may hint toward somthing hehe

EDIT: Haha it was worth a shot but i asked him: 'Will the new Oddworld games be in 2D, 2.5D or 3D or a mix hehe' to which he said 'Not saying' hehe oh well

Yay, I had one of my questions answered on Formspring!

Q: How's the soundtrack for the new Oddworld games going to be handled? The creepy music and sound effects were hugely important and contributed greatly to the atmosphere of the original Abe games.

A: Audio will be handled in the same way as previous Oddworld titles.

I imagine this may mean that the original composer is on board or something to that effect; or it could just mean something completely different. Good stuff.

Frankly I doubt it as he's working at another studio (Red 5 Studios).

Going back a ways on that questions/answers page, I found this from 4 months ago (long before the Oddworld announcement)

We are prepping 3 titles for launch between now and the end of June, as well as at least two more by the end of the year.

Keeping in mind that plans change and these titles could really be anything, does anyone know what titles JAW has already released this year, and what other ones (besides anything Oddworld) are confirmed to be in development?

I wouldn't put much weight on this, but one or more of those projects that were planned for release this year could be Oddworld related.

Entirely plausible, but entirely uninformative. What was the title Stewart said in the podcast had been dropped in favour of working with Oddworld? Doesn't matter; it was dropped in favour of working with Oddworld.

The two projects due to be out before June are probably the projects JAW were working on before working on the oddworld games, Gravity Crash and then the other one I can't remember.

Gravity Crash was released for PS3 last November, and then 3 weeks ago for PSP. :-)

The over title is "Vektar Beat" which we will finish soon ;-)
