I've got some problems installing minecraft forge, inserted files into vanilla minecraft.jar and deleted the META-INF folder. It gets stuck at "Done Loading" now. Have I missed anything?

Apparently having the cables connected together made bottlenecks and caused the server to lag - Perhaps that's why it kept bugging. I'll be doing this next, it fills an MFSU at perhaps the same rate as a geothermal.

Yeah, it's completely pointless and resource-heavy - There are much easier ways of achieving fast, infinite power. But this was still fun to design and will be fun to collect all the resources to build.

It uses server resources, yes. But once the map is rendered it just takes up disk space (a lot). I can turn off the webchat or people seeing where we are, but I thought it was a nice addition. There's plenty more we can do with that map, like putting down markers, showing mobs, showing warps, stuff like that. Haven't gotten around to doing all that though.

Havoc, permission to use Creative for the build, 'cus it's make life so much easier. Also, I think the last adventure proved that darkness isn't good enough at spawning mobs. If I place some mob spawners can an admin program them for me?

Lately I've been addicted to watching Lost while playing Tekkit... I made a tutorial on how to use the mining laser effectively and efficiently. I believe it's better than both the destruction catalyst and the quarry.



Yeah it's not automatic, you need 2 lappacks and an ender pouch to make it worth doing, but it's very quick and quite easy. Having a jetpack and a quick way to and from the surface and bedrock speeds up the process further - Or maybe you can stick a sorting machine down there and pipe your goods up to the surface.

Augh help, Tekkit is too addictive!

The Long-range mode is awesome. I'm going to use it to expand my quarry which has finished mining. Also nice video

If you've seen my setup, you'll see why it's so easy. I have multiple large chests emptying an ender chest that I take mining, so everything I dig goes immediately back to base and the metals macerated and smelted. All rock heads straight to the energy condensor. I used my very first red matter to make a tier-three energy collector that creates 40 EMC a second. That's a red matter every 3h15.

That said, I haven't been on the server in about a week. I've been playing SSP with the latest snapshot. It's much more enjoyable than I remember SSP being.

Server Announcement!


Since the creation of the Tekkit server it has been kind of chaotic server wise, going from one new IP to the next constantly. Today that all ends (hopefully). Both servers have been moved to the new host, Chromobyte.com. Below are the new connection details (vanilla server stays the same but is listed anyway). The OP will be changed soon and the status banners in my sig will return as well.

Naturally feel free to report any bugs that might have appeared during the move. Stargates have not survived the move and will have to be reactivated by a moderator.

Yeah, Destro keeps being kicked for no apparent reason, I keep getting "You don't have permission to do that" messages when I'm simply running around or clearing blocks, and I'm not allowed to craft RedPower2 monitors (the one I had disappeared) without being booted with the message "java.lang.NullPointerException", but performance-wise, it's better than the other server, so it's all good.
