where is Mudoncho and what animal does it have? (like Mudanchee has Scrabs)

Also, is Exoddus the second game in the Quintology or an add-on? I've heard both. Some say it isn't part of the quintology yand Munch's is the second game and others say MO is the 3rd and Exoddus is the sescond in the quintology.

Thanks Xav

Oh yeah, does anyone have the Fleech as their sacred animal.

And if I were Mudoncho, I'd be pissed that the Glukkons totally whiped out my sacred animal.

fleeches are creatures maded by vykkers to serve as pet for glukkon, they will never be sacred for mudokons

That's not entirely true, Xavier. Fleeches as we've seen them were created by the Vykkers, but Fleeches are natural creatures too. The Vykkers needed something to work off of. We don't know what they look/looked (they might all be wiped out) like, but we know they didn't have their long tongues. My guess is that they looked like their early concept designs, which would be quite a sweet tribute to the hard work of the OWI design team.

Answering the Slig Hunter's questions, it may be entirely possible that there were Mudokon tribes that paid special homage to the Fuzzles, but any evidence of their existence just hasn't been come across by our heroes. You could ask Alf, but expect one of his 'witty' replies.

The Meeches were wiped out shortly before Abe's Oddysee. At this time there are hardly any spiritual Mudokons. Look at those in MO, they've obviously been corrupted by industrialists. That's one of the reasons why Big Face is too busy to help Abe, because his is fully booked at Monsaic Lines getting the Mudokons to appreciate their spiritual sides. On top of that, the Mudokons nowadays are largely unaware of their past, especially their dark history. I imagine it's entirely possible that not even the Big Face knows that some Mudokons once worshipped Meeches.

Wait a minute, I just thought of something.

If Munch's Oddysee is the second game, then why is everyone calling the new Oddworld game OW4?

Also, how old is Big Face?

Because it's the fourth Oddworld game.

Abe's Oddysee
Abe's Exoddus
Munch's Oddysee

Would it help if I told you to think of MO not as the second game in the Quintology, but the second installment, with each installment being followed up by a number of bonus games, demonstrated perfectly by the first installment, AO, and followed by it's sole bonus game, AE.

OW4 is not part of the Quintology (making it the first Oddworld game to be so), but it will run concurrent with it, so it may tell part of the story, but in a way that doesn't necessarily relate to the goals and visions of Abe and Munch. They may not even appear at all. We just don't know. From what the OWI staff have been saying in the Odd Squad entries, there are some really cool characters going to be in it, but that's all we know.

I just hope we're not going to suffer the irony that all the cool characters are removed for time restraint reasons.

Man, you and Xavier are encyclopedias of Odd knowledge!

Butt-kissing aside, last question out of me, will Abe gain any more scars/powers as he goes? I noticed he didn't get any from the Great Raisin and I thought his new abilities days were over.

yea, when i heard of the raisin i thought he was one of those guys who'd give abe some new awesome ability but i guess not.... though he did give abe the ability to turn his possession power into mobile orbs, thats kinda cool, but there were no scars involved. and is it just me or did abes hand scars that resembled rock art turned into things that resembled the mudanchee and mudomo logos! what happened!

MY QUESTION: does anyone know the name of Lulu's valet?

Lulu's Valet is called the Valet Slig. Like most Sligs in the Magog Cartel, he has no name as such, merely a description. The only exception we have is Crig, who, being in the eyes of the public, probably would need a name so that the readers can 'identify' more'. Incidently, Mudokons only have names because they name each other, so I'm guessing that Glukkon use of those names has become adopted because then they can communicate more readily with their slaves, for example, instructing Mudokon workers to capture Abe.

Abe will probably not receive any drastic new abilities for a while, since his part of the story is over with. However, there may be occasional spots where Abe's abilities need to be realised specifically, so he could still gain new powers. The focus of the Quintology is now Munch.

Dont worry, I didn't forget about you and kahnzumer. I actually have another question too!

I just got all 300 mudos in AE and it said something about Abe's mother, which I know is Sam, but you were supposed to find out more about her in MO. You never do though? Why did they not include the info on Sam?

The reason is the same reason that so much of Munch's Oddysee didn't make it to the final game - everything from new species such as Kintos and Skeeters, to extended parts of the storyline such as the return to RuptureFarms and the rescue of Sam, to aspects and the actual game such as Munch's ability to mimic other creatures and the whole lifecycles thing.

It's because development on the PS2 was a lot harder than was originally anticipated, and OWI kept coming across many 'potholes' in the technology, which of course had to be solved, using time, money and resources which should have gone into the game. Annex onto this the fact that the Inhabitants were pretty much experimenting with the new 3D world, plus their hopping onto the Xbox bandwagon that limited the timeframe they had to work in.

This answer coming to an FAQ near you!

yes, they are able to reproduce with themselves to create offspring...
from the official site
"Hermaphroditic self-impregnating masters of weird science, each member of the Vykkers race is able to mate with itself to create offspring."

Presumably if Vykkers A was to cut open Vykkers B and Vykkers C, he could fiddle about with their thingamabobs and get them both pregnant. Although they very well could be dead.

Humphrey and Irwin are brothers. So presumably they have the same mother (that's the word they use in MO). That means either Vykkers can impregnate themselves and give birth at least two times, or Humphrey and Irwin are twins.

They're brothers, that means they have the same mother. I think we got into the whole debate of 'where does it say they're brothers?' before, but I can't remember where it says that or what we concluded last time round. I guess we could look at it like 'Latamire Munch' - it stood true in development, but since it never made the games we can assume it's still true until proven otherwise.

Jeez, you want me to simplify that? And I thought quintic equations were difficult. Here goes...

During the development of Munch's Oddysee, Munch's full name was Latamire Munch. However, that did not make the game. However again, that does not necessarily mean that his full is not Latamire Munch. It was true when MO was being developed, and until OWI say his full is not Latamire Munch, then Latamire Munch can be said to be his full name.

Similarly, during early previews and interviews with LL re: MO, it was said that Humphrey and Vykkers were brothers, but this was never explained in the final game. But because it wasn't said that they're not brothers - either in the game or by OWI otherwise - it stands to logical reason that there is no reason to assume they aren't brothers any longer.

I'm not sure I simplified all too well, but it was a difficult task.

The 1%er first appeared in one of Paul O'Connor's Designer Diaries, and has remained a mystery ever since. What remains more of a mystery is how Xavier got his hands on a larger version of the picture.

Basically, we don't know what it is. First impressions when it appeared were that it was the Slig Queen Skillya, but since then Xavier's larger picture reveiled the word 'Mug' at the bottom, initiating the belief that if was the carnivorous form of the Meetle. This may, for all we know, be the truth. We have seen what Mugs really look like, and it's nothing like this creature, so it could be that this is an early design that was rejected. However, because of its vast difference from the Mug we're more familiar with, some people have begun to suspect it is a species in itself, perhaps a kind of back-street race - muggers, pickpockets, thugs and the like. It certainly look like that with its leather jacket and eye piercings. It's also holding knives in its tail, and its mechanical legs are leaking.

The nickname 1%er comes from a photo of the inside of the OWI studios where the concept art was pinned on a wall under the title of '1%er'. The meaning of this cryptic header is another one of Oddworld's secrets.

Whoops, my mistake. I had to store all my Oddworld pics in zip files to fit them on floppy when my computer went off to the doctors. I wish he'd give it back, anyway, he'll probably charge us even though he hasn't done anything. That's the last time we use him. Anyway, I haven't looked at many Oddworld pics in the last few months, so my memory's not going to be at its best.

And yeah, I knew it was Abe Babe who got the Mugs picture from her E3 promotional pamphlet, but then I didn't say it was you. We also see Mugs in a Daily Deception found at Oddworld.com, although again I think you found a larger version.
