Where do babies come from?

...heh

Actually, I just wanted to thank you for being the almighty weiner who knows so much about oddworld.

Thanks weiner!

Mac the Janitor 10-24-2002 12:21 PM

Thanks for making this thread, Khanz. All of those new silly question topics suddenly arising almost forced me to make one myself.

But I'm glad you did, since people will pay attention to a thread created by you more than one created by me...:D

Leader

Is there a Leader of Mudokons or is it sam?

Xavier 10-24-2002 05:09 PM

the spiritual leader is BigFace

put as important

Jacob 10-24-2002 05:25 PM

My mummy said that i can only be a Lawyer if i work ABSOLUTLY, POSITIVLY, AMAZINGLY TOOTILY hard...i told her "No" and hit her on the head with a Mongoose and told her that the only thing Lawyers have to have is no souls and an evil disposition...

Who is correct...?

Xavier 10-24-2002 05:30 PM

Jacob I think this topic is about Oddworld questions.if not it should be in the off topic discution

Oddsville 10-24-2002 06:50 PM

Well I'll try to answer any questions when I get the chane but knowing Khanz and Max they'll most likley get to them before me.

TheKhanzumer 10-24-2002 10:02 PM

good start...

To answer M.O.M. the mudokons currently have no real political leader. Sam is a depressed loser, who has no control over her offspring. The slave mudokons "leader" would be their boss. Be it a glukkon, slig or vykker. As far as native mudokons go, they have many spiritual leaders, each tribe with their own elders and shaman. BigFace is the shaman of shamans, he leads all the free tribes. Abe could also be considered a leader because he is leading the terrorist attacks against the Magog Cartel.

I'm glad the weiner could be of service DI and to answer your question... I think they come from a stork.

And Jacob I think both you and your mum are right. You need to be evil and ruthless but you also need to be clever and learned so you will have work hard to get an education.

In the future let's please stick to oddworld related questions.

M.O.M 10-25-2002 06:43 AM

thanks Khanz

mudflub2 10-26-2002 09:02 AM

Why is a bigbro so beefy when it always uses a gun?:fuzwink:

Wil 10-26-2002 11:31 AM

The fact that BigBros handle guns is of no importance to their size. Sligs will undergo steroid treatments, which will increase their body size, strength and stamina. Their larger hands mean they can operate larger and more powerful guns, but a BigBro doesn't have to use a gun - it could leap into warfare barefisted if it wanted, but Sligs are big fans of firepower. Besides, if you can afford steroid treatment, you can afford a gun.

M.O.M 10-26-2002 02:52 PM

BigFace

Do you know if Bigface had a Mentor?

Wil 10-26-2002 03:20 PM

I don't know, no, but everybody has to learn from somebody. Perhaps our Big Face learnt his skills from the last Big Face.

M.O.M 10-26-2002 03:28 PM

and another question:
How old is the Mudokon race?

Wil 10-26-2002 03:34 PM

There are many different ways I have managed to interpret that question. Here are my answers to each interpretation:

1) Members of the Mudokon race live for round about 40 years.
2) The Mudokon species is very old. They were around in more-or-less their modern form millennia ago.
3) Mudokons and their predecors have been on Oddworld since the birth of life.
4) Mudokons don't race, they only run when they're in a hurry.

I think 2) was the one you were after.

M.O.M 10-26-2002 04:19 PM

thanx...i like the joke

Xavier 10-26-2002 06:06 PM

Max, :fuzwink:
wasn't it millennias ?

Wil 10-26-2002 07:13 PM

Nope - one millennium, two millennia.

Like bacterium and bacteria, villus and villi. We Enlgish like complicated plurals. :fuzwink:

TheKhanzumer 10-27-2002 03:24 AM

Kinto's

:

mudflub2: whats a kinto slave?
Kintos are a race of mountain dwelling creatures. They were forced by the glukkons to work for them, but because of their extrem paranoia of things above their heads, the glukkons gave up trying to make them workers. They have two very powerful arms with one claw for climbing the toughest cliffs and mountains.

Can Kinto walk?
However it may see, I will regard kinto as the ability not to walk.... To the unstable center of gravity and a fulcrum sake
:)

TheKhanzumer 10-28-2002 11:30 PM

Kinto Walking

Kinto's stability is a combination of two things: Their strong claws holding them securely upright and despite their awkward appearance, they are fairly balanced as far as weight is concerned.

So yes they can walk, although they find uneven terrain easier to navigate.

atusiya@ 10-29-2002 12:18 AM

thank you Ross!!(Mr.OQA)

Thank you!.Mr. OQA. (non-offcial Oddworld Q and A.)

M.O.M 10-29-2002 04:36 AM

was their any huge battles between muds and the industrialists

mudflub2 10-29-2002 09:12 AM

what is a cronicler? The pic makes it look like a magician or a *giggles*taxman!:) :fuzconf:

Wil 10-29-2002 03:11 PM

The Mudokons are a very spiritual folk, so I don't think they'd engage in any actual battles, but apparently their history is a lot darker than we or they realise. One phrase (which I'm not going to dig out - do a search for 'Species X', you should find it) indicates that the Mudokons actually advised another species on their military actions.

And of course there's the film of the Mudokons riding Meetles into industrial space, which could lead to all sorts of things. Who knows.

The Chroniclers are indeed taxmen - the official description we've been given is that they're the 'accountants, stock brokers, lawyers and thieves' of Oddworld. They're quite upset with Maggie because of the loss of RuptureFarms and other profit-making businesses in the Cartel. We can only assume that they're going to be chasing after the Vykkers Conglomerate soon.
