lol! Ok, news just in folks, my sexuality has just changed to reflect what MC has just said, because he is
so good at Halo (lol), he obviously knows everything.
Well, I'm not gay. But what are you? A fucking degenerate that has nothing better to do with his life to insult other people and claim to be the best of the best. Heck, your insults are really shit too, if you are good at Halo, it's probably the only thing you
are good at.
And ooooooh, I said Halo 2 was a computer game! One thing I may have gotten wrong, as oppose to all of the things you have gotten wrong that could fill an entire library. Technically, you could call any console game a computer game as it's developed on computers. But that's going too deep. Although, Halo 2 will more than likely find it's way on the PC after the Xbox version, THEN it'll be a computer game. Sheesh, you are a picky bastard aren't you?
The only one who's an idiot here is mr. "I'm a low life who thinks I know everything and I probably believe I am actually a real SPARTAN and that the Halo weapon actually exists as I'm so stupid". And you don't need to perfect your spellin gfor others, but you I recommend you should ofr yourself, as it makes you look really dumb. But it probably reflects your personality, so you best not even try to perfect your spelling anyway - shows the world who you are. Probably work yourself out too much to do it anyway.
As for you being the best player in the world? My friend is just about invincible when he's holding a sniper rifle, and he's good at everything else too, pistol battles are extremely hard when he's involved. As a sniper, he's no scenery watcher either and he can just pop out *BANG!* one down *BANG!* another down, take cover, pop out and kill two more.... take cover, reload and repeat. Although he's not predictable like that. I have popped him in the head from a mile off with a pistol if no sniper rifle is availabe before, but rarely do you get the chance to do that. He can almost always pin you down. Screen watching is one of his strategies of course, but he's still mega hard to escape even when we do link ups when screen watching isn't possible.
I have thrashed him before, but then he's thrashed me too. He wins most of the time, but I have one too. We almost never resort to frag grenade throwing and we always go for sticking plasma grenades on each other if grenades ever come into things.
My strategies for what you mentioned are:
1. against a ghost
counter- plasma grenades most of the time but popping them in the head with a pistol also helps. If you choose to use an AR, keep strafing and running or you'll get run over.
2. against a tank
counter- well, quite simply, if somebody gets in a tank, they're dead. But they can blow up alot of opponents, especially in link up games when nobody can screen watch or when they wait for a respawned one to blow to shit. A plasma grenade on any part of the tank will do it (preferrably near the hatch), a frag can also help if it explodes under neath it, a rocket launcher is a garuanteed success if they don't see it coming as is a pistol to the head (through the hatch) of course.
3. against a warthog
counter- the skilled Warthog driver will constantly swirve about and never keep in a straight line. A sniper file to the head is an instant end to their life of course, but a plasma grenade when close by will also have a good chance, but it's very quick for them to jump out. It's a good idea to aim for the pilot, but it does require alot of skill. A rocket launcher aimed in fornt of their patch will do it, but the swirver might be able to survive. Firing a rocket from far at an alert driver is useless and the driver WILL avoid it. The most fun way to end their life is to get in a Tank and just blow them to shit (garuanteed victory) or get in a Warthog yourself and full speed into their side or at the corner of their front. Doing the latter will result in them flipping directly over you. This will require a head-on collision of course. It looks fantastic too!
4. against a sniper
counter- actually, a sniper has a high rate of fire, but not enough bullets for it to last. Against a skilled sniper is defintely the toughest problem you'll come across, and if you are the only threat, taking cover will do you no good. It will just prolong your death. If you do end up in cover, lob a couple of grenades in the direction you wish to run to use the smoke as cover, although this isn't going to work even 60% of the time. Stay out of cover unless there is an exit which isn't opened up and inside a cavern or tunnel of some kind. That way, you could make your way through an alternate passage to his sniper point or to your own sniper rifle. The key is to know where he is, by screen watching or smoke trails. Pistols can over-whelm or defeat a sniper if he has a different target but is useless if he's interested in killing only you. The best decision is to make your way to a sniper file, as the only thing that scares a sniper is another sniper. Snipe him yourself. If he screen watches, he'll definitely take cover. But he'll also position his crosshair so he can get a head shot. Poke out only if you know you can kill or put off his aim.
Also, positioning your tank so you can blast at well-known sniper points is essential, and you should keep the hatch out of their line of fire if possible. Although, the elite sniper will not go for the well known sniper points that allow them to see over the entire level, but should go to places where they never thought they would be. Sniping on the same level as your target in a nook that they would have never imagined works surprisingly well. Gettin gused to the small crosshair whilst out of scope mode is also essential so that if you are shot and come out of your scope, you can still aim at them and shoot for the instant kill, which is a head shot if no shields are set. Against a sniper, jumping in the air is a pathetic attempt to get away from them and you are offering them a clear shot! Ducking only helps against cover as it's to slow for anything else. You can only hope that strafing and swirving runs (or drives) will put them off. A plasma pistol also works wanders against snipers, especially those not aiming at you. Just charge up and let go, be fairly close though so they don't spor the ball of plasma heading their way. Frags also ensure flushing them out of their points.
5. against a guy w/ a shotgun
counter- shotguns are great in campaign or coop, but useless in Multiplayer. Elite players won't let you get near them. That said, it's the perfect weapon for link up games where screen watching isn't possible and hide to kill a passer-by instantly. Jumping down on unaware opponents with a blast also stenches victory for you, and mid-range can doi alot of damage too. But it's too slow to defeat a pistol wielding opponent in a one-on-one. So really, anything can defeat a shotgunner as long as you don't let them get close. For those considering to wield shotguns to go in close quarters.... don't bother really. All you need is your melee attack, instant death from behind and powerful from the front. It's also a good idea to just go for head shots up close and lob plasma grenades on them to ensure their death whatever happens.
6. against a guy w/ an assault rifle
counter- ARs are perfected for interrupting one's zoom mode and pinning peoiple down. It's also great for bull-rushing opponents and going all-out. Although, at far range, it's very unn-accurate. The clever far-ranged AR wielding opponent will use short bursts but it's to slow. People mainly use it in close-combat and from behind, so get as far as possible and just use any weapon (apart from shotgun). If you decide to stay close (like, almost point blank or point blank), crouch and blast them with a shotgun. ARs will always aim for your head no matter what, as repeated bullets hitting your head will kill. So just duck. It confuses them and they will have to aim down. But by that time, they'll be dead from your shotgun blast. I recommend only going close if you do have a shotgun.
7. against a guy w/ a plasma weapon
counter- powerful and tormenting. Plasma weapons slow you right down. Caught from behind, you're almost certainly dead. Getting used to high sensitivity can help against them attacking from behind as you can spin around and pop 'em. Although against plasma wielding opponents, it's best to run from them if you are hit from behind. Run to cover and then ready for them so you can counter attack them, with any weapon really. A plasma weapon yourself would be a good idea. If you don't have a plasma weapon, just strafe around them (close range), changing your direction all times and keep shooting them, whackin gthem etc. Plasma weapons are very effective, but are slower than bullets. But not alot slower. Plasma weapons are almost useless against somebody at far range. It's a good idea to let their weapon over-heat before charging at them. Taking far shots with a pistol or sniper works wonders. As for the needler, it's very slow so just take cover when they hit so the needles won't reach and dig in. If you're close by an dthey un-load a whole clip on you... charge at them. They may have killed you, but you'll take him with you. Keep shooting as you do this, however, as you don't want them to shoot you with another weapon or run away so you don't get to them.
8. against a guy w/ a rocket
counter- jumping does nothing but garauntee a more cool looking death as it just sends your body higher into the air. Great for the comedy vaule though. Try to stay at a higher ground and jump at them, it's very difficult for them to hit you directly and unless they're stupid, they won't shoot you at point blank range. Never run in an obvious path as they'll aim before you and will bin. Standing still and shooting them could help as you can then run either way. Alot of rocket launcher wielding opponents will jump to get a clear shot at the ground around you. When they shoot, you might consider running even under or past their rocket towards you as it's quicker to get out of it's blast range. If you think they might shoot at you point blank range, only charge if they are reloading, they'll be dead before they finish. Charge in with any weapon, but preferrably shotgun or pistol shots to head.
I play the game with shields off and 100% health, so if oyu play the game with shield on, some of my strategies
may not help you. I can't see why not though.
