Underage smoking and drinking

Hello everyone. What do you think of underage smoking and drinking (like at an early age, say 14 or something like that). Do you think it is a good thing to do, or do you think it is wrong. Also at what age did you guys start to drink or smoke (if you have done so in the past)?

I don't agree with underage smoking or drinking, especially at an early age. I don't think that a child should begin to degrade their body that early. I did drink before 18 though, but only a little bit. But I have never smoked, I don't like it.

I dont really care about underage smoking and drinking. If they want to die early and lose alot of money in buying cigarettes and alcohol good for them. More space for us in the earth for us people who actually contribute to the society.

so wait, let me get this straight...since I've been known to smoke and drink....I don't contribute to society? Jesus, let's see if we can make a more biased, stereotypical statement than that....

I'm 17, so it's not that I'm terribly underaged.

I started at 14. I dont see a problem with it. People will do what they want. Smoking i have tried, big deal. Alkohol i love, big deal. I contribute to society...

The only people who haven't tried are probably the ones who are so wrapped up in Cotton wool they dont even know about the real world.

Happy, dont be a freak. Just because you dont get invited to parties and arn't allowed to drink, dont start blaming us. Moron.

I think cigarettes and alcohol aren't worth using, period. They're not good for you in any way (obviously) and I think smoking is extremely offensive to non-smokers like myself when it's done in public. Nonetheless, I think that people are going to do what they want, so this is sort of a non-issue.

I understand people not trying to smoke, cos, well, thats bad for you. But why dont they try alcohol just once? It wont damage you. I know someone who said to be:

"I'd rather not destroy my liver, thankyou very much."

And i was like:

"Yes, and with one night on the piss your liver will surely collapse."

In regards to the topic:

I don't really care, people can do what they want to there bodies. People are no less a person for smoking or drinking, it is just not a healthy choice, no more, no less.

Like i said, just once. I didn't mean become an Alcoholic.

And if Alcohol isn't used in excess you wont die any earlier...

Also, if you do. Big deal. At least when the drinkers and smokers die they can say 'We tried something new and had fun' whilst the non-drinkers and smokers say 'We lived safe...'

If you are a kid and you have a beer it is quite easy to get alcohol poisoning because your body is not use to that substance and your immune system might not be developed completely yet. You might even get addicted and you may be unaware of the consequences. I’m talking about kids 15 and under though; if you are older it is more of your decision, even if it isn’t very smart.

If you meant just a taste then that is perfectly fine.

BTW you can’t magicly open a can of beer to have fun and become cool. If I see some weird kid drinking a beer I don't necessarily want to be his friend, if you know what I mean.

Their is a whole lot of stuff that we could debate the morality of, but personally I don't care what a person does in one's lifetime. You only live once, don't spend your whole life being uptight. Drink some beers, light some cigs up, expiriment with whatever you think you should try and be happy. Doing things in excessive amounts isn't a good idea, but its a good idea to try new things and do them every once in a while.

i dont really care about underage smoking or drinking. Just that the person who is smoking or drinking doesn't harm other peoples health or life.
