35 screenshots of MO demo at E3

At Gamespot site there is 35 pictures of the MO demo at the E3 show. They were added on 05/18/2001, and I haven't seen them until today. They are not high quality, though.

First six screenshots
next fifteen screenshots
next fourteen screenshots

In case you didn't watch the video for this demo at E3, here is the link:
E3 Munch demo video
So, what do you think about them? What can we find out about the gameplay studying these screenshots?
Post your comments here, please

Thanks Lampion, you always seem to find all the things the rest of us overlook.

I found a pic that interested me. It's one of those shrines that Abe chants to to change a normal mudokon into a 'Tomahawker':

Above the shrine is a painting or engravement of a symbol for a Tomahawker, this lets the player know what the shrine changes mudokons into. Unfortunately no more of these symbols are available to us at this time. There is a LED sign giving instructions next to the shrine in red letters, which I thought was unusual considering they're in native territory. The counter (green number) must have some relevance to the shrine or Abe's amount of spooce. In this picture the counter reads "5" but in another pic that shows it after Abe has begun chanting, it has changed to 0. I think this counter shows the amount of spooce Abe has. I believe the amount of spooce for transformation is different depending what the shrine changes mudokons into. Changing a mudokon into a Tomahawker must therefore require '5 spooce' which is probably stated on this, or another, LED sign.

Just thought I'd share these observations with you all. Would anyone else like to share their opinions or other comments?

Another pic I found interesting was this:

The device on the right, I believe, is either a respawn point (where you go when you die) or a recharge point (stand on it to regain health).

I thought it might be a respawn point because there is one for both Abe & Munch. Since we don't know much about dyeing in the game, I thought it might be a possibility. My theory on death is that if one of the characters dies, they restart on the most recent respawn point. They then have to make their way back to join the other character and continue playing. A problem with this theory is that if there is a puzzle shortly after the respawn point then the character might need the assistance of the other character to pass it, so then the other character would have to die also to help the other past the puzzle. Of course there may be respawn points after each puzzle so that this does not occur.

I thought they could be recharge points because there is one for each character and to me they just look like something that may be used to gain health.

You probably noticed how goofy the faces look. I put this down to 2 things:

- They may be upside down, which would make them look ridiculous, especially since we have not seen these symbols before.

- The symbols on the "pads" are animated, moving around somewhat distorted which would make a single shot of them look kind of messed up.

Anyway that's my opinion, it would be nice to hear some others!

The pad thing looks kinda like it shows munch contracting and abe inflating. Maybe it is something that transferres health, items, or something from munch to abe.
