I was watching on the news these two pro-life and pro-choice gentlemen were arguing about abortion. So, I'd like to know what you people think?

There are two types of abortion. One of them is late-term and the other is when the baby is nothing more than a ball of tissue. Still, some people say it's not right. Tell me what you think.

i'm with abortion, i think it should be allowed if the people have a good enough reason, i cant be botherd to give a proper reason, but im pro choice!

So if somebody were to use a condom, would that not be denying the 'baby' the chance? And would not having sex also be denying the 'baby' a chance?

No because the sperm is not the same as a fertile egg. The sperm by itself cannot develope into a child.

1. The fertilised ovum can't develop into a baby without the mother. The mother has the right to have a child or not.

Edit: And if the mother doesn't want the child, she could either have a legal abortion - safe. Or she could try having an illegal one - not as safe.
Edit 2: Here's a good one:
A fertilised ovum will develop into a baby if it is allowed to and a sperm and ovum will develop into a baby if they are allowed to.
If a fertilised ovum is aborted it will not develop into a baby. If a sperm and ovum are kept apart by not having sex then it will not develop into a baby. Same thing, no?

Pro-Choice.

Any person who says that the child is a human as soon as it begins development may be correct. But what about actually thinking about the reasons of somebody getting a abortion? How about the woman? These guys who say "Blah-Blah-Blah Pro-Life Blaaah" well what about the women? They have to go through the aggrovation. If they want an abortion then they should get one without people challenging them. A baby can literally destroy your life so think before you say they should keep a child. Its just like animal rights activists...They dont think about what they believe in and in the end they come off as being complete tossers. In the UK a group of them unleased a load of Minks from the Mink farm without thinking it through. The Mink ran riot and killed family pets and even attacked babies...I, for one, am against the killing of animals for fur and/or experiments but what ARA do is stupid, careless and irrational. Twats.

Just because I think abortion is wrong dosn't mean I think people shouldn't have a choice. Everyone should have a choice. I just think abortion is the wrong one.

Oy...with this topic I have a hard time figuring out which side I am on.....
One the one hand...I believe human life begins at conception and life deserves a chance.
On the other hand however...I end up thinking about all the kids out there that have already been born and unwanted. Plus the overpopulation it would cause (though I feel humans are far too numerous already) if all those aborted babies were born.

Ok...Ok...I guess I am Pro-choice. But I feel an abortion should only be carried out in the early stages and in cases of rape, incest, and threat to the mothers health.

But then...the overpopulation issue....ARRGGHHH!!!! *pulls on her mane*

I think if a couple was being careless and wasn't using a condom and doesn't want a baby, they should have it anyway and give it up for adoption.

But in the case of rape, I think they should have an abortion if they want it.

In short, I'm pro-choice, in a way (I suppose...

).

I'm not a woman, so I don't think I have the right to say. But I suppose pro-choice because of overpopulation and the fact that most people aborted probably were not going to make a difference anyway. Their parents are ill-equipped to deal with a child. I'm glad I wasn't aborted, though.

90% pro-choice.

If the baby (for want of a better, more correct word) feels no pain and the parents have a valid reason to abort I think it is acceptable.
Late term is unacceptable in my view. But if the parents cannot cope and the child would end up with a miserable life I feel that it is more humane to abort. Legally, of corce.

EDIT: Oh, and in case you are at all intrested in the text above, I am a female.

Good point. Anyway, it isn't the death of a baby in a women's womb, it's the death of a un yet developed baby.

Generally, I'm against abortion, especially those performed after the first couple of months.

I think there should be some sense of responsibility on the part of the woman who is pregnant, she shouldn't place herself in situations where she might become pregnant if she doesn't want to give birth. But every situation has different circumstances.

Nah, I'm against abortion. That's the women's choice to have sex. What does she expect? I actually know a women who kept her baby when she got raped. You should'nt take it out on the baby. I think it's wrong and selfish. I mean, those are not real women. They are punks. But it's selfish because they are only thinking about themselves getting banged up and when they get knocked up, they don't want to take responsibility.

Good point. I really cannot think of an argument for that.

But I'm still pro-choice.

Nope. Sometimes condoms break, then what are you going to do? Not having sex is not denying the baby a chance because it's not being born.

2. Still no. The baby is being developed. When you are not having sex, the baby is not born yet so it's not going to hurt because you don't have a human being growing inside of you.
