Things I wish people would learn
This rant is going to be about television
Number One: For No reason should a marathon go on for more than 2 hours. People get sick of even the best shows after repeated viewings, so give some other lesser known shows a chance.
Number 2: Everyone has their job. This may seem weird, but how many times do you see teachers being lawyers, people trying to sing etc. Drew Carrey, you are an actor not a tony award winner, so enough with the musicals. That goes double for anyone on Boston Public,Dammit!
Number 3: If you advertise yourself as a drama, don't just get a grip on reality, get a stranglehold! I am sick and tired of supposedly dramatic shows doing things that would never occur in the real world. And for people who say it s just a show, you gotta suspend belief and break all the rules, I say SCREW THAT! Most dramas nowadays are like melodramatic Bugs Bunny cartoons and its not funny nor entertaining.
4 Do not use successful shows to plug holes in your sorry assed schedules. Keep the show in its time slot. No show should be shown more than 2 or 3 times a day if you aren't a major network, no show should be shown more than 8 or 9 times a week on a major network.
Don't cancell good shows simply because you want to show the ratings gorrila ninety times a week. If you back off you can give cool shows exposure and posibly make them famous and you can keep fans watching your more successful series. Always leave them wanting more!
