shoot your television

Extreme? I don't think so. Shooting your tv is a great idea. My group of friends and I realized this a long time ago, when we came to a stunning realization: when you are watching tv, your brain is watching but the world is still going on. So if you were to look in on yourself, you'd be sitting there, doing absolutely nothing. What a waste, man. All those years I had gazed at the screen, so involved with the story, actually feeling like I was doing something, was an illusion. Who wants a race of incredibly smart beings to just sit around and be stimulated by the allusion a little box (or big) is giving you? I think that's pretty pitiful man.
Now, don't get me wrong, I love Oddworld and everything in it, and I would much prefer a human's mind churning to the puzzles of a game than the drone of a show, but still....it's not worth it dudes. The world would be a much better place if you just blew the damn thing up.

Amen. To that end, I am going to Glastonbury, to get off my head for about 4 days straight. And then going to write my A-Level Biology coursework the day after. Oh, what contrasts this world throws at us...

Yeah, we'd learn tons more in our lives but Its not something I could instantly get rid of because I'm too used to it.

I got one, all Sligs do! If you wanna borrow it be my guest. Instead of shooting it though, I think I just won't watch it. I think a life of shooting helpless Mudokons has trashed me enough so I've gone into a more peacfull state and have stopped shooting things. Exept Abe. Not with my big one, just little squirt guns thats all. We have water balloon fights and squirt gun fights but he sucks with a water balloon. I fear him very much with a gun however, so don't under estimate him. That little Mud has got better aim than you think he does. I remember that one time he thought my rifle was a super soaker, oh jese that wasn't that much fun........ let's not get into that right now, lets just say there was a hell of alot of blood. Anyway I will not shoot my T.V but I will try to watch it less often.*Sneaks over to T.V, gets a semi-automatic, back flips over couch, and grabs remote before anyone else does.* Narf! Got ya there for a sec didn't I!

Anyone who remembers me from back in the day, should remembver I like to disagree. Well, I'm doin' it again. Sure, we don't learn anything from T.V, but we get enjoyment out of it. What's the point of living if you don't have fun? It'd be a waste.

We all have to have some entertainment in our lives so T.V is what that entertainment is!!*Clicks remote and flips through channels until she finds that I channel with the weird people yelling at eachother in japanes* I love this show but I can't understand a word they're saying! Thats why I like it!

But now that I got hooked on the Internet, I hardly watch T.V at all! It is pretty boring compared to the web, thats for damn sure. I still watch it for certain select shows though. I am not a neophyte nor a slave to the television.
