Exhibit A: Rigged demographics
It probably comes to no surprise to you, but in the shows infancy a hell of a lot more white, "nerdy" males were on this show, and beating it like a drum, frequently earning 34 to 125 thousand dolars, no sweat. For reasons unknown,(perhaps to appease some group/groups) the execs suddenly changed the way contestants were picked. Instead of a prospect phoning in, trying to answer three questions, and then being randomly picked again to answer five harder questions, they started doing an interview style of picking.You could call it hand picking if you are cynical like me.Didn't you notice the amount of women, or lack of them in the shows early stages.Well, what accounted for the seeming female contestant boom? If you really want to be crazy, like me, the woman were picked, manipulated verbally by Reege in the hotseat, and kicked to the curb because they:A Couldn't stand to see a woman win
Got greedy and wanted to protect the money.
Exhibit Two: Verbal Manipulation
Isn't it odd that Reege would talk glibly at one moment and then shut up at the next when a contestant was blundering? How he goaded them to use lifelines? Why did Reege do this on questions the contestants were fairly sure on? Out of the kindness of his heart or something else?
Why did he frequently tell people when they weren't sure on a question to "go for it, its only money" And why 9 times out of 10 did the guesser guess wrong? Also, he would constantly tell people to back down if they weren't that sure, even though they were right. And just for kicks the Reeginator would have them guess. They get it right"Well whatdaya know!" Well, what do you know reege you conspiring rat bastard!
And he would ask contestants what they knew and DIDN'T know for a few reasons
To avoid asking them a question in their area of expertise and to obliterate them with a hardball question in a trivial are they didn't know jack about. How many times did a gramps get a question about a 2 week famous rapper. A youngster about an obscure World War 2 actor?
Final exhibit:Nealon and Mcdonald
Mcdonald was joked about as not being intelligent and when he got in the hot seat, he shocked everyone. No matter what cukoo question he got, he got it right. It was superhuman! On the final question Norm guess Greenbrier, which was the correct answer. He was asked "Are you sure, final answer" at least two times,three if I'm not mistake. He eventually chickened out. Wouldn't ya know, his "guess" was right!Nealon was an even stranger anomaly. From the instant he got in the hotseat, the people were gunning for him. He even joked about it and wasn't even bothered. Until the last question, which was for oodles of cash, 500,000 to a deserving charity. He said the answer and it was correct. What a coinkydink.
Reege said thats wrong. Nealon said, well if it is I'll back down, but this better not be a scheme to save money." Well now that you know ABC's ways, what do you think it was? Is that your final answer?
