Let's introduce the oldest manga(comics) in Japan.
=>http://www5d.biglobe.ne.jp/~nihonsi/tyojugiga.htm
These comics were drawn 900 years ago in Japan.
These comics are called wildlife cartoon.(tyoujyu-giga)
Manga culture spread from Japan to the world

I still can't believe, that the most Manga-drawer began their style by looking in such a stupid book. I just can shake the head about it. Why should we spend money for those little drawing-series, even though you can make up your own great drawing style?
I don't want to show off, but my friend and I drew our first Manga without any help.
When we saw our first Anime, we knew that it is easy to draw...very easy! But we didn't wanted that our comic-style looked like the others, so we made-up our own style of drawing characters.

That's not an accusation, but if you really want to draw Mangas, practise without books. You really have the style in your head.

Happy imitating is important.

Babies learn and grow from imitating everything their mothers do.

Yes, but what's wrong with looking in the books for guidance, and then applying what you've learned in your own style? That's what I do ocassionally, and I still have my own unique style. Too bad I still suck...
