Wired Attack of the clones

Okay, basically you like it or you don't and some may just think it's okay.
Warning: slight spoilers ahead (but nothing you didnn't already really know).
Personally, I thought it was unreal. The best Star Wars so far. It had some story and the scenes in it were spectacular. So much action and it was all done very well with coplicated scenes. The arena battle was huge!!
And Yoda fighting! I didn't expect him to be so, how he is. Great Lightsaber fight at the end.
I was only sort of disappointed with the way Jango Fett died. It was a little unspectacular for a major character.
Also, I wish they didn't cut the Tusken Raider scene. It would have been violent and cool to have seen Anakin kill those bastards and would have shown his first step to the dark side. Powerful scene when he comes back form that fight.
Question: Isn't Anakin going to hunt down the Jedi in Episode III?
But now, we have to wait three more years until we see thise wirds "A long time ago.." again and to see how the clone war ends, since the story is left so open. Man, I'm hanging out for it already!

Oh, and go all the Aussies in the movie!!

Yep I saw it the other day when it first came out. I loved it. Infact I think I will go see it again it's so good. When jengo Fett died it was dissapointing but very interesting. Like I was interested into what little Boba Fett was thinking when he picked up his fathers head. It makes you wounder if we are going to see Boba Fett in action in Episode 3. Will he be a grown man in Episode 3? I guess we are going to have to wait three more years. But now we know how Vader got that bionic arm. Because he got his arm cut off by Count Dooku. It is so cool how we are seeing issues that were shown in the original trilagy comeing to light on how they came to be. My favorite scene was when 3P0 got his head switched. That was so funny it reminded me a little of Empire. And lastly something took me on surprise When they showed the blue prints to first Death Star. That was awesome. I rate this movie a ten in my book. which is great!

me being a bit of a saddo, i got the novelisation. when i first read it i thought "cool" and then "i really wanna see the movie!". when anakin kills the tusken raiders i thought that was a really good piece of plot. i agree the way jango fett dies could have been better but overall it was great. roll on episode three!

Last year my physics teacher was called Mr Cole. But he got sacked for giving a kid drugs and molestering him. I have a newspaper article about that stuck on my wall.

There's also a 'Cole Protocal' in Halo which states that all data regarding Earth must be erased if there is any risk of Covenant forces capturing or boarding a ship.

But I think he meant 'Clones.'

Again, spoilers ahoy
Okay, I loved episode II, just to say. It rekindled my hope for the series after the abysmal episode I, and here's why. Has anybody else noticed that I and II are very similar to IV and V? A New Hope and Phantom Menace were both fairly self contained, meaning they could be viewed alone and accepted- no cliffhangars. This meant they had to be short- they had to contain complete introductions to characters and complete closure, which limits your time in between for dramatic content. Empire strikes back and Attack of the Clones were not self contained, though- they both had cliffhangers and open beginnings that assume you saw the ones before them. Also, Episodes II and V were both more romantic than their predicessors, we saw more planets in each of them, there was a cool giant ground-battle scene in both, more yoda by the percentages, and more big revelations (Vader is Skywalker's father, re-building of the death star, where the deat star came from, who boba fett is, and both of the emperor's overall plans are revieled). I think the biggest parallell is the way the story was structured though- In episodes I and IV, there were bands of characters- Luke, ObiWan, 3PO, R2, Han, Chewie, and Leia compared to Quaigon, Obiwan, Jar Jar, Padme, and young Anikan. These bands of characters traveled everywhere together, and only out of necessity. In II and V, though, the characters split up ALOT, and actually decide to go places on their own accord. Also, look at the supporting non-main-but-still-major characters- very few in I and IV, witht the exceptions of Grand Moff Tarken and Watto, but more in II and V, with Lando, Mace Windu, Yoda, Boba Fett, Jenga Fett, Count Dukoo, the cloning guys, the diner alien- much more depth. I think, from a story structure point of view, that the middle installment of each trilogy has an advantage, because it has something to work off of from the first, but it doesn't have to wrap it all up yet. It can be very steadily paced and detailed, no heavy responsibilities for over-all introductions or closure like the first parts have to have, just updating. The entire movie can be devoted to the advancement of characters we're already familiar with, so it can concentrate on just that. Which is probably why even the most die-hard fans generally think of Empire Strikes Back as the best of IV V VI, and I'm thinking that Attack of the Clones will probably be considered the best of I II III. But only time will tell for sure.
Man, talk about your over-analysis. Am I crazy, or does any of this make sense?

What I find strange is that "cole" was a typo, and it bears very little resemblance to "clone". I thought this topic involved a critical look at grocery giant Coles, who are attempting to spread their corporate tentacles to new places of the world - until I read it.

Sorry all. Talk about screwing up the thread title. I felt really stupid when I saw that.
Episode II should be out in 2005. One film every three years was the deal and I can't wait already. It's scheduled for production early next year, right here, in Sydney's Fox Studios 'cause it's just such a cool place!

I went and saw it on Saturday night and I thought it was good but I didn't like the love bits. I liked the Arena fight that was excellent and when Yoda fought with a lifesaver was cool. He's all slow then he's goes all fast and it's cool. I can't wait for Episode III and that bitch will have to die yes no more love scenes YAH.
