Question Linux box or Indrema

What the hell ever happened to the L600 Indrema?
Never heard of it? Sounds like I'm making it up eh?
Well long before the days of Xbox when PS2 was only new, I was at a mates house who was into computers and he showed me this article in a PC mag showing all the specs of the PS2 and how damn cool it was at the time and all. But the article was actually about the future of home video games consoles and how the PS2 will go stacked against the Xbox and Gamecube (both of which were a long way away from even the US or Japan launches at thie time).
But there was another box. The L600 Indrema. A 128 bit console which ran on Linux.
Anyone what I'm talking about? Anyone know what happened to the project. I doubt it'd be successful against established companies so it was probably canned.

I don't know if it was a games console or not but I vaguely remember hearing about a non-PC Linux-powered machine.

I heard about Indrema! I saw it in an online article that compared the specs of Indrema, PS2, Xbox, and GameCube. It said Indrema would not be made. I went to www.indrema.com and learned that from lack of funding and developer support the project went kaput.

The money I spent on my Xbox was originally designated for the Indrema!

You were supposed to charge the games with a Debit/ Credit Card and download the games off of the internet onto it's supposely MASSIVE hard drive. And, it's Linux. *beams* Some of the insights were that you could buy games before they were released, and porno games and EXTRA violent games would be accessible to the public. (Baaad....) *sigh* Most gaming mags said that the gaming industry just wasn't ready for Indrema yet. Oh well, maybe in a few years....
