No offense but I find these pictures to be very abstract as well as very disturbing, my favorite artists are ones who paint or draw still life or the famous impressionists, and ones who have the actual ability to draw........

No offence? Why would any one take offence to someone calling art abstract or disturbing? Abstract art is wonderful, a very interesting form of art. And disturbing art, well, that's just a word to describe what the content is. Not necessarily good or bad. I also love still lifes, but "ones who have the ability to draw"? Uh... Abstract artists often have the ability to draw! Mark Ryden certainly can draw, he has amazing talent. If you're telling me that artists can only have talent if they draw from real life, then you are incredibly wrong. Look at Dali. He paints from his dreams, and though his art is very surreal, it is still realistic. Not the ideas of his art, but he can draw a human realistically, animals, etc. And though Ryden's art is weird, he obviously has talent. Really, try to have an open mind.

Personally I do not think these people had the actual, natural talent to draw so they resort to more abstract and other ways to express. This is not neccessarily bad but I think a good artists needs both, and I like an artists who shows they have both, and I admire artists that are like this.......It is not an attack against them though.....

Uh... Once again, an ignorant thought. Just because they draw in an abstract way, does not mean they don't have talent. If you would look at the paintings, instead of just disregarding them ignorantly, you can see that he can paint realistically also. When you say both, do you mean talent to draw abstract, and realistic? Well, if so, Ryden is very talented...
Murphy, could you name some artists that you like?
