Future Quintology games

I was just curious as to other peoples speculations and hopes for future Quintology games. What powers should the new heroes have? What enviorments should be featured? What new game features should be in the Quintology games? I think a cool new power (although kind of god modish) would be illusion. You could create illusions of creatures and then use their Gamespeak. You could order sligs to get levers you can't normally reach as a glukkon, or you could distract BBS's with illusions of Abe. I think city enviorments would be cool looking, but that kind of stops the stealth element of the game. I want your NPC characters to learn as you order them about. If you order them to attack sligs enough, eventually they'll learn to seek out and attack sligs. I think Gamespeak will progress really well. It will be cool for each Quintology hero to have a species of creature to rescue and order around (Abe gets Muds, Munch gets Fuzzles/Gabbits).

So what are your ideas?

I think that it would be interesting to have a character that can fly. We have a land hero and a water one, so a flying one is possible. I like the idea of a hero disguising its voice, but the illusion thing seems to powerfull. I think a Meech female might be and interesting hero. Maybe there could be a hero that was accidently made by the Vykkers/glukkons... either a mutant or a rebeling AI. Perhaps there could be a character with the power to split into two beings. These are just ideas...

I think the characters will get more pathetic as we go on, and when I say pathetic I mean power wise. Look at Munch he actually dosn't have any powers, he was given the power to controll mechines by Vykkers. I presume that at the end of the Quintology the last character will probably be at the very bottom of the food chain, but in his/her own uniqe way be more power full than most of Oddworld's corperate army.

I just thought of another cool power. EMP (electro magnetic pulse). It could knock out all the machines (and slig pants) in a certain radius for a certain period. I don't know. Munch's possesing power can kind of do the same thing, just not all at once...

I was thinking of a character that can dig tunnels or something. Minefield? Just dig a tunnel! It would also be interesting to have a slig as main...

Well.... I think in the future quintology games we will see....(Possibilities)

1- Some female principal role hero

2- Some Meech hero

3- More gamespeak in every chapter

4- More inhabitants and more graphic quality ( of course )

5- I think like Ron Rankor, perhaps some principal character can fly. I think this is very possible.

6- In some sites I heard Squeek will be a "simbiotic" creature. Signify this, will be two creatures united? or one creature with two lifeforms in it? perhaps one of them innner ( like a spirit or karma ) ... I think in a creature carring with another one ( like baanjo and katooie ) one or the other carring with the another creature depending the action want make...would be very odd.

7- Lorne a lot of times said things about the cities, the konzumers, and the necesity of more and more graphics power. This is clear, the enviroments will be more and more industrial every time, and I think in a progressive form will going to an more and more big cities scenarios

Your idea of Squeek being two characters in one is a rather intereting idea, one that I have never heard portrayed previously. Until now I assumed Squeek was symbiotic in the sense that his species and another species helped each other out, like, Species X eats the parasites that kill Species O as nourishment.

The environments, as well as getting more industrial, will also get more commercial and residential too - I think it's important to remember that.

I doubt a Meech would make an appropriate hero, but at least we'll be visiting the Meeches and seeing their viscious ways of life at some point in the Quintology.

I believe/have a theory that all the heroes will have some form of possession power. I mean, there's Abe - sure he can blow up his farts and drive huge trains and vehicles of havoc, but his real power lies in his psychic ability to take control of other living beings. And Munch, he's really poor. Okay, he can zap his enemies and command huge armies of carnivorous Fuzzles, but when it comes down to it, his abilities to take control of machinery is really his best and most vital attributy. I see further heroes as being able to 'possess' plants and elements.

Flying heroes certainly figure, as do female queen heroes and robotic heroes. Remember how Abe and Munch, and even the masses of Mudokons and Gabbits, are relationally dysfunction, yet they must live it through if they are to survive another person's appetite? I think that the five heroes will have a lot of quarralling and quibbling among themselves.

Anyway, there's the views of the Oddworld Encyclopedia.

Oh yes, and I have this idea that Nod is a slave on a boat, but I forget where i got that from.

I read (i don't remember where) that Squeeq a "advence" Slurg is... The Slurgs are larves and Squeeq is a more growed Slurg...

I hope we could see the 5 heroes together and they are friends...

More industrial could be cool but than there is no more place for spiritual???

In my own personal opinion I don't think we will ever see a meech as a main character, I see the meech as I see scrabs and paramites, as the wildlife, not a native! So in my opinion the only way I think we would see a meech is if i'm way wrong on this or if the vykkers had some spare time on their hands!

Well thats just my 2 cents!
