Oddworld Universe Reopens!

Yep thats right Oddworld Universe (OWU) has reopened, most of the new things are outlined on the main page, but i will go over some of them.

Firstly the address is http://www.oddworlduniverse.com/ yes thats right i got a domain!

Next, some new things have been added that relate to not just my website but others too, like the new Oddworld Webring which myself and Kristen are running together, if you have an Oddworld website be sure to join it.

I intend to update the website everyday with news, or just normal pagely updations.

Unfortunately I have not been able to get some parts of the website up and running as of yet, like the Universe section, the reason for this is it has over 70 pages of chock a block information on ALL creatures/environments ever to cross Oddworld.

There are a lot more stuff there now, as i have spent since late last year on the new OWU. I was meant to reopen it on the 12th March...and then the 1st April....and i couldn't stand it any longer and im opening it now. I hope you all like it and i hope it becomes...BIG!

And on my site it says that it has OWI's permission to use images etc, in actual fact it doesn't have their permission yet, im still waiting on a confirmation email from them, but im sure its cause they are very busy over there.

Lastly i would like to thank Justin, Kristen and Sydney they have been a very big help, thankyou guys

Xavier, who is this Winston? Is he the person who owns Oddworld Park? Cause the 'Website of the Month' is currently that site.

Anyway, i hope to become a big site like Oddworld Web, but that will only happen with a few years of existance!

Nice Job, Alcar! Your site is relly good, very easy to navigate, and I also noticed that it works perfectly with Netscape, diferent from the older one. Congrats!

Thanks Lampion, i hoped that it would work good, i did use netscape to see if there were any changes from IE and all i could see was one, on the main page where it has an image saying "Latest Headlines" there are meant to be borders around them and other pictures like that.

Xavier what is wrong with this Winston, you seem to have some sort of anger towards him.

he banned my first nime of his forum (Xavier)
I came backl with a second nime (mutileur)
he banned it too
and I didn't anything wrong...

but the thing I hated the most is when he edited one of my messages and put something completly different

But I admit his site is nice.

Okay everybody, your going to love the news I have!

I have finally just finished the Native area of the Universe section, i have all 22 pages up, and next i will be working on the Wildlife area.

Im sure you will love the Universe section as it has a lot of content and information, you'll be amazed at the amount of information there are on each page

My site is hosted on Justins server, however it is on the other side of the server, on a port number.

Some places block out port number IPs, which i hate...

But its the way it is, you see if i was to be moved over to the other side of the server then i'd be where Oddworld Web, Oddworldian and the Oddworld Forums are, so if lots of people are online then everything would be a lot slower!

It's a shame...but i can't help that, Justin was very kind to host Oddworld Universe, im very fortunate he offered. I dont want to put the server in jeopardy by adding even more Bandwidth to the server, if you were here yesterday you would of seen that the forums were going very slow, imagine what it would be with all of the sites on the same one!

Yep thats right Oddworld Web, Oddworldian, Oddworld Universe and Oddworld Forums are all on his server. Justin is very kind, he has a very big heart...and server!

One down side of it is that if one site goes down, they all go down...but that cant be helped!

Anyway i was originally going to keep secret that OWU was hosted on Justins server, but i now see no reason, Justin has been kind enough to give myself the space i feel that it should be known

The current one looks a little as if things are not put together smoothly. The new one looks better. I have to see it with frames to give a final opinion.

I guess i'll change everything to the new format, Lampion this new design wont have frames. The bad thing about not having frames will be that since im on the other side of Justins server (the same as you

) the address will stay the same and not change no matter which link you click, with the frames it was okay cause it wouldn't change anyway.

Now let me get to changing everything. By the way is the text size too big? And are the link colours bad? Any suggestions?

Xavier there is a downloads section only due to some problems with the program i am using to make the ~~~~~~~ it is taking longer than i expected.

By the way "~~~~~" is the thing i cant tell you about yet.
