NnT on Xbox One on March 27

As announced on JAW's site, NnT will be released on Xbox One on March 27:

So the news that some of you have been waiting for is here! We know some of you have been anxiously awaiting release news for the Xbox One version of Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty, well wait no more, details below!

We were extremely delighted to be told on Wednesday of this week that we got a first time approval with zero issues during the Microsoft Xbox One submission process!


Oddworld Inhabitants, Inc are delighted to announce that Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will launch on Xbox One, the all-in-one games and entertainment system from Microsoft via the ID@Xbox self-publishing program on March 27, 2015.

Marking the first outing of an Oddworld game on Xbox since Stranger’s Wrath in 2005, New ‘n’ Tasty is a ground-up remake of the much-loved original Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee, developed by Just Add Water (Development) Ltd.

A cinematic platform adventure, New ‘n’ Tasty tells the tale of Abe, a hapless Mudokon who learns that his fellow meat factory co-workers are to be the main ingredients in the company’s next line of tasty treats.

Abe must escape RuptureFarms and beyond, liberating as many of his fellow workers as he can. Along the way, he’ll learn the secrets of his civilization and journey across perilous lands filled with dangerous creatures and lethal traps before returning to the sinister meat factory to put right the injustices faced by his long suffering species.

Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty will be available to download from the Xbox One Games Store on March 27 for $19.99, €19.99 and £14.99.

I don't have an Xbox One, but this is awesome news for Oddworld. More sales is good.

It'll be 7 GB because Alf's Escape will be downloaded with it, but you can't play it til you unlock it on the XBL Store.

The size on my drive is 7.55Gb, including Alf. The game download was only 4-5gb iirc.

I played from RF to the Paramonia Temple in one go and for some reason the game did not save my progress :/

The three save stones are blank but the movie player allows me to see the unlocked movies.

Shit one, man. I had a moment where the game froze and another when it crashed - both to do with having it paused for an extended period of time. I couldn't play the game again until I booted up a different game first. But thankfully my progress was left intact.

I actually dont remember what ur meant to do there. I assume u gotta roll under the mine as it goes past. Thats what I did when I first started running anyway. Becuase right after there is a puzzle (that I skip) to get a red ring so u cna come get elum.

U gotta time it.





The thing is, theres a puzzle after it to get a red ring. And right after that puzzle is the exit, with no other obstacles. What else would that final red ring be for, if all u gotta do is make 2 jumps and ur done?


And beforehand, theres no signs telling u to go BACK and get another ring. You havnt really been taught that at all prior.

Did anyone else find Paramites more intimidating? I was actually quite excited running away from about 10 paramites in the Temple then watching them go crazy hissing after I escaped. 10 paramites killing you then eating your corpse was also quite disturbing.

Conversely, Slogs don't seem very intimidating this time around. I think a lot of it has to do with their neutered bark.

Yeah, paramites are threatening. Slogs are just dumb. You jump off an edge and they just stop. AI will stop chasing u if u go to a different level (level meaning up - down), unless part of the puzzle is them hopping down a ledge like in scrabanian temple. But at least sligs will run to the edge before stopping. Slogs just stop in place lol.

Just chant to disturb the sligs, then roll under, if you don't have a spirit ring.
