One thing I've just wondered is if Abe is going to talk to himself like he used to throughout the game. Seeing how he looks at Scrabania in awe in the trailer, and the absence of any speech from him, it feels very abnormal, not what I'd expect. It doesnt paint Abe as the goofy character that he is. He's always felt more like an oblivious kind of guy, who'd be more likely just to stroll right into such an environment without really considering its dangers. A lot of his character comes through when he's talking to himself, or makng goofy noises in reaction to stuff. This doesn't come across in the trailer, and I've only just been able to pin this down as the reason why the trailer gives me the impression that Abe lacks character (or, at least, the type of character that I'm used to).
His look of awe seems too appreciative. For me, Abe has always been quite thick, and just wouldnt really have a sense of art. His facial expression seems too thoughtful. Usually his displayed emotion is driven by quite primitive emotions like fear or feeling safe, or seeing that his friends are okay.
Has anyone else felt this?
Also, I really hope that song doesn't make it into the game. I love the Michael Bross Oddworld style of music they used for Oddysee and Exoddus end credits. You can't have a good human vocal performance in a game where there are no human-like voices. It just doesn't make any sense to me, and feels very off. You need the organic sounds of Mchael Bross' material.
One more thing, Abe seems to have lost his dark circles around his eyes (At least I'VE always interpreted them as dark circles, but maybe they're just shadows inbetween his wrinkles and skinfolds - regardless, the darkness is missing). Without them, his face seems too youthful and bland. I coloured them in a bit and I think it makes a slight but significant difference (bottom left, above and below):
