Yeah, that jump cut where Abe walks forward then we see Mollucks Slig getting struck by the lighting, that genuinely frightened me and I jumped in my seat!

Anyway, my opinion, I'm at an absolute loss for words on this, it is looking amazing!

Nice to see that they still kept the humour in there, I couldn't stop laughing when the one slig shot the other, not only was it funny to watch, but their voices were equally as funny.

As for the gameplay footage in the video, I'm going to assume that they recorded it from the PC version but I'm sure somebody at J.A.W could give me the answer on that one. I sure as hell cannot wait to see how it looks on my PS4!

Looks great! I gotta go to work now, so I'm not gonna get to see the.. erm, are they doing some kind of conference? Or was it just the trailer release that was gonna be shown at an expo without any kind of presentation?

I like the credits, out for every computer/console except XBox One/360 lol

Fuck, I was writing up a thread and everything.

I really, really love how much more streamlined and faster all the animations are. I remember being worried about how slow and cumbersome Abe looked way back in the alpha footage, so seeing him running and hoisting up ledges in this trailer was really great to see.

I’m not 100% sold on how some of the animation and sound effects come are a little more exaggerated and cartoonish, but it’s not a dealbreaker. The only thing that bothers me is that Shrykull prance.

But holy god that lighting and environment detail and seeing everything in motion and working together yesss

It looks great.

However, I don't like the way the Mudokons were in a nice neat line. They looked as they they were a line of soldiers ready to take orders from General Abe or something...... They need that overlap from the originals otherwise it just looks weird.

Just noticed that the Rupture Farms logo, in that one area, still has graffiti of a moustache and monocle on the Glukkon. Glad they kept that.

Omg this looks so stunning! The shrykull looks so powerful and intimidating! Love the gore content where abe gets minced up! That will make my heart race when I'm controlling him! Only thing that makes it feel 99% perfect is the Scrab sounds like a lion :P but that's no biggie

Wow, it's looking damned nice - That lighting and level detail. And it looks like it'll be fun - The scrolling camera will do wonders for the gameplay, especially during the more action-packed parts.

I was thinking this too, and feel it's also a shame the Scrabs and Paramites don't sound as unique as they once did - But meh, minor nitpicking. I like what I've seen in the trailer a lot.

I think the paramites are pretty passable. Much better than sounding like fucking pigs.

I agree, the paramites sound pretty good, still similar to the originals. It's just the scrabs that bother me, sounding like lions. The slig visors are cool by the by, like, how the red light acts as a detector for how far they can see you.

It's very possible these are placeholder sounds - or the team wanted a greater variety of sound effects. I mean, the Scrab only had three noises in the original.

Hot damn, that was freaking amazing. Just... wow! Never did I ever expect an old 2D game like Abe's Oddysee could be remade in full 3D and look this amazing and true to the original.

I could also spot some definite influence Lorne had on the look of things. Especially the new intro pan to Rupture Farms with all the Glukkon heads is something I imagine he wanted to put into the original, but wasn't technically doable at the time.

Do have to say that the cutscenes, being rendered with the engine now, lost some of their magic compared to the CG ones. Everything looks a little more bland and rough around the edges. Especially close ups of characters. But I can understand that, CG would probably double the production cost.
