Wow that is really nicely made. However the paint is a bit washed out.

The Mudokon pendants I was referring to must have sold out. They claimed to be officially lisenced and didn't look remotely hand made.

Sure they look nice but I realy doubt this would be official as OWI never mentionned them on any of their channels.

What about 3D printing? Would be very easy to make to order, pre-painted and assembled!

There's even a site where you can upload digital model files and get them printed and delivered for a pretty affordable price and decent quality. Considering that the illegal part of copyright infringement stems from the money making, is it illegal to submit and print out an Abe from the mod files, for personal use?

Probably illegal for the website if they do it, but i doubt it'd be illegal for the customer (unless they declare the work they upload is their own creation)

Hi, just wondering if there would be a market for a detailed 6 inch resin figure of Abe? I'm a modeller by trade and wondered if it would be worth tooling up. It would be unofficial, as, as far as I know, there have never been any official Oddworld figurines.
I'd buy it. A 'Slig Army Pack' would also be great.

Oddworld have previously posted a link to an Abe Statue for their "fans with a 3D Printer" on their Facebook Page. They've also expressed interest in producing 3D prints of a Stranger Statue.

I want to set the record straight here, because I know the person who makes these. They aren’t officially licensed, but the maker did ask permission from OWI to make and sell them (and was told they could).

When I was younger, I always wondered how popular a line of Oddworld Playsets similiar to 'Mighty-Max' would have been.

If you were to rip the models out of your own copy the game and get it printed for yourself, that would be fine.

If someone were to rip the models out of their copy of the game, then post it online for other people to download for free, that's borderline but probably fine.

If someone were to rip the models and then sell them to other people, that would definitely be wrong.

These are the three figures I planned making moulds for and producing a limited run of each. I accept they are un-official and therefore not collectable as such, however I believe they were originally commissioned by GTActive and then canceled. What do you think? Would you buy?

I admit, they do look nice. But again with the paint. Looks washed out.
Also the bigger Abe model doesn't look right. His body is way too big (or legs too short :P).

Proportions are off and the face looks a bit funny, in my humble opinion. I think people who are going to design figured would need the actual computer models to get it all right. 3D printing them or something.

Not to say I could do any better myself, but those models are quite amateurish. The person who made them is talented, but they've focussed on crafting the details, and not so much on the macroscopic form of the characters (I am talking about the Abe model particularly). The Mullock model is better.

I realised some years ago that I was always wrong in the way I tackled Art, focussing on the details when drawing something, and not focussing on getting the more overall shapes and sizes of the object/person i was drawing. The overall form is always the first thing someone sees, and only on closer inspection do the details have any kind of significance. I think I learned this after studying Impressionism in A-level Art. Thinking about it, it was quite a shift in my way of thinking in how I reflect what I see, and I think the realisation induced a lot of self-doubt in my artistic ability.

Abe's World isn't a thing, neither is Mulluck. You need to work on anatomy and expression too, the paint job is okay, I think Molluck is pretty good really, but you've got his name wrong. Seems like you haven't done the necessary product research.
