N'n'T Box art

OWI and JAW probably don't have many resources for marketing, but indie games tend to rely on the internet (reviews, word of mouth, lets plays, etc) for promotion, anyway. If N'n'T is good enough to get noticed by people after release, it should sell itself. I think that being a remake of a semi-popular classic that people still remember may help a bit, as well as it being released on many platforms.

Many popular indie single player platformer titles (Braid, Limbo, Fez, etc) didn't have a lot of marketing - And I'll bet a lot of them didn't look appealing from their trailers alone before their release, but that doesn't mean they weren't successful. Here's to hoping N'n'T will be good enough to join them.

The obvious good thing is that the game will get a lot of publicity because he is the biggest channel who does first impressions on YouTube.

And if the player spends too long on the menu without selecting anything, Abe should get bored and walk away.

Tap bombs should make use of the PS4 touchpad. In Abe's Exoddus, the circular 'work!' wheels should be turned using circular finger motions on the touchpad. BOOM grenades should be thrown using the touchpad in a similar way to how the Angry birds sligshot works, allowing more control over the projectory.

I'm guessing this is the signed poster of the boxart that the 30-something (myself included ) winners of the New 'n' Tasty naming competition will be receiving? I think it looks great, and don't mind the logo clashing. If anything it proves a point, that the khanzumers see brands naively as colourful cheery logos, but the reality is the dark and industrial backdrop. It illustrates the Glukkons' facade well.

You've got to bear in mind that this is a remake, targeted squarely at existing fans of Abe.

If it was targeted at existing fans, they wouldn't need to remake it. We are NOT the target audience for this game - their aim is to extend their fan base, not seek it's approval.

Every single time this is mentioned at all in anything involving NnT, all I can wonder is what the fuck else do you expect? It's a remake of the first game, one of which the majority of us love dearly. Skepticism, pessimism, and the whole shebang are to be expected, especially after we've seen the direction Oddworld went after the Abe games.

Frankly, I'd be worried if this general attitude wasn't present. It would mean people just didn't give a fuck, and therefore anyone could pick up the games all willy nilly and butcher them without giving it a second glance.
