Yeah, they're pretty okay, although their second cd was total crap compared to their first...

SOAD is the *only* metal (or whatever) band I like. Don't know why...

I liked Toxicity better. But, that could just be becuase I only listened to their first CD once... and I don't really own it. What's the name of the 11th track? I love that song.

Heard a couple of their songs, which were okay. They were shit at Leeds Festival, but that was only because they were totally f*cked...

Searex..are you talking about the almost Polka-ish song?
it's a good one..I'll have to try and remember the name..
oh, okay..it's called "CUBErt"
anyway, toxicity had much more of a forced feeling to it, and it didn't have as much energy as the first IMHO...plus, toxicity seemed almost poppish...and well, too cheerful...

Ah! Thats it! Thats it! *downloads CUBErt*

I can see where your coming from, though. But I'm OK with that, so it didn't matter to me.

I'm with SeaRex...I usually don't like metal but System is aight. I really HATE when the dude screams...I think his singing voice is really cool though. A middle eastern feel is what we need around the music scene.

Exactly. His Armenian accent is really cool, and it adds a splash of originality.

ha dudes, I just saw this interview of the lead singer of Oasis saying shit about new music, specifically, SOAD. He said, " They all look like a bunch of crackheads, on speed, playing shit music, man". I don't know, I thought it was kind of funny.

well, the band oasis thinks a bit too highly of themselves...not just because they insulted SOAD..they have always been cocky, arrogant asses...

I think there must have been a committee who went around lots of bands, and said "Hmm... those bands are just too good, let's give them each a Total Tit as a frontman..."

Hence Oasis got Liam Gallagher, Blur got Damon Albarn, Marilyn Manson got Marilyn Manson, Stereophonics got Kelly Jones, etc...

Fortunately, there are still plenty of Michael Stipes, Trent Reznors, and Tim Booths to counter the trend...

They're okay, I wouldn't really rank them among great bands, though...

Indeed! I would have to say that Les Claypool is the best bass player I've ever heard... Mmm, goofy, dark-humored, odd music with fabulous bass and just plain... er, weirdness... Primus... *must get Les Claypool's Flying Frog Brigade albums*
