if you're referring to YouTube with this, i think you're wrong. YouTube won't own the majority forever, i reckon eventually they'll just meld with a bigger corporation. maybe Google

Did we just find the only person on the planet who doesn't know YouTube is owned by Google?
In any case, the competition doesn't have jack on Google at the moment because YouTube is the only video site that has a decent ad system and is thus the only video site where videomakers can get decently paid for their work.
The moment Daily Motion starts offering an alternative to YouTube in terms of earning revenue off videos, that's when some of the big names on YouTube will start migrating. But even then, why would a YouTube celebrity with a mass following risk losing all that just by switching platform? I think we're stuck with YouTube for a long while to come.
