Ok...why the heck did they send this to ME!?

I got this in an email today...

Yes...this is obviously spam mail, (at first glance I thought it was OWI saying something about the small(and unfinished) page on Oddworld I have on my site, but it's not) but the thing is this is obviously (to us oddworld fans anyway) Sydney's discontinued site, but I got the spam mail about it.

Weird eh?

That is strange! Understandably, I also got the email. I can't explain why you would get it too. Was your email address ever on my site, fan art for example?

Yeah I had two of my fics on that site for a time...so that's probably how they got it....yet that was age's ago...

the email addy is just a reply addy to this fullpromote.com place. So I guess if I block it I won't be getting email from this place anymore...*grins*

I received the same e-mail ,actually twice. I guess it's because there were two of my pictures in the oddworldian.net fan art section, with my e-mail address below them.

Darn spammers...

That would be it ... my boss wanted me to look at a program that actually scours the net for any email addresses that are on a website. Usually you put in a criteria or someting.

Mind you, I totally disagreed with that program and what my boss wanted to do... as I HATE spam in any form and disagree with it. I had such a laugh when reading the documentation though, as it kept going on about how good spam was, and how you can get away with it, and how successful it is! Yeah right!!!

I got an email the other day advertising one of those programs, as well... Needless to say it got consigned to where all the rest of the spam goes...
