If we want to find a story explanation for it, then, we could say that the paramites and scrabs in AO have a higher resistance to chanting then the ones in AE.

In fact it's because Abe learn chant in AO, his cappacities are higher in AE and he can posses without destroying, remember Scrabs and paramites are sacred creatures

Afterall, Abe encountered no Scrabs or Paramites after he got the scars until AE.

Unless you were silly and played Paramonia twice or something.

You guys can try and explain it story wise all you want but it's probably just because OWI decided it would be something new to include in AE. Something that hadn't been done in AO. Just like possessing Glukkons too. That's all.

Abe was a worker right? and he grew up in the farms right? Well abe wouldn't really be able to master his chanting powers that well..with all the chant orbs around. So abe was a amature at chanting.
When he escapes the farms he lived with all his buds and was probably tought or learnt himslef how to expand his chanting powers. The scars only made him turn into shrykull though so he had to practise.
Think of it as dragon ball! and abe has got blonde hair

2 very strong theories, but that would apply that for every "wildlife" creature to possess. You will have to have a scar for... i dont think muds are into the whole tatoo look

Slogs aren't sacred creatures to the Mudokons, although it wouldn't exactly cause me to jump out of my skin in alarm if they did have a scar related to them in some sorts.

Some says
He has a scrab scar, now he can posses scrabs
He has a paramite scar, now he can posses paramites

but in AE abe can't posses slogs and in MO he can
who can explain with that théory?

I only say one thing: I think Abe learned in his adventures how to posses better and more kinds of creatures.

Ok... Abe can't possess Scrabs, Parimites and Slogs in AO (not to mention most things), But he gets the tattos/scars for both Scrabs and Parimites and dosnt see them again in that game... The next time he dose see Scrabs and Parimites is in AE (which if you had been following the storyline you would know is only a day after AO, and therefore too shorter time to practice posession), and he can then possess them, but he still cant possess Slogs... The next time he sees Slogs though is in MO and because the time between AE and MO is greater he has had some time to practice and is able to possess them in that game... Dose that make sence?
