Disc Damage Errors

Have any of you guys ever had strange glitches because of damage on any Oddworld discs?

The AO I have is heavily damaged and it plays fine except that all the FMV's have a flashing white line on the right and Scrabanian Temple crashes.

My AE Disc 1 will crash if you try to watch the intro movie where Abe talks about Necrum, but I came across a weird bug which I recorded in the video below.

Buy the games from Steam or PSN. Problem solved.

I got the PC versions of both games on CD and they run on my Mac to, so no need for me to use Steam or PSN.

I used brasso on a CD-ROM that wouldnt work because it had a deep-ish scratch on it. I only had to smoothen the scratch down a bit for it to work.

I'm glad my copies never had any bugs with them, I would be devastated if they did. I've got them upstairs in perfect condition

My PS1 AO disc have's also small scratche's. Once Abe started to walk strangely on air like walking on something... :P
But it happens veeeery rarely... ^^

I'm on my second copy of both AO AE and even those are unplayable now. Plus my psx is pretty much destroyed. Must invest in a new system when I can afford it.

What I should have put in my original post was after simply resting my PS2 the slam door opened when both wheels were turned.

You could, you know, take care of your stuff... I've heard it prevents scratches and annoying things like that.

Exactly what Xavier said.

I don't think I've ever scratched a game disk beyond what falls under general use. You can tell my disks aren't new, but I've never encountered any problems with them. Games I've had since I was 7 are still in excellent condition.

The most damaged disks are all second hand or games my mum played.

That's why I like download coz I can never look after discs properly. Even my dvd's get a bit scratched. Although I am learning to take extra care of my blu rays.

My PC discs are perfectly fine, the AO disc I bought second hand so that's not my fault. But my AE discs are the same ones I had back when the game first came out to which I would have been 5 or 6 at the time.
