Playing violently or passively?

If you guys think hard, you may remember reading in a few previews that OWI promised to include options in MO that you could play violently or peacefully throughout the game. Did I miss something? There aren't really a lot of different ways you can do things in MO. I just caused chaos most of the time. Did anyone else notice this or think of that subject before?

To be honest I didn't see any other real option other then to destroy all enemies...(but then I am a bit morbid in that way *sadistic grin*, I LOVED tormenting the interns in the snoozer levels! )

Maybe that was one of the elements that were tragically taken out when the game made the switch.
