Has anyone played Shadows of The Damned? I really want to get it but I'd like to know more first.

I'm playing Splatterhouse. It's awesome. A Very fun (AND CHALLENGING!!!!!!!) beat 'em up. Unlocking moves on the go is nice, and while it is an extremely violent game, it's still silly and funny.

The faction being called 'Empire of the Rising Sun' also eliminates all possibility that they're Chinese.

Also, George Takei!

I haven't started Magicka yet, but Audiosurf is fun and OH MY GOD SHOGUN TOTAL WAR IS SO GOOD THEY MADE SO MANY IMPROVEMENTS FROM THE FIRST ONE AND MEDIEVAL TOTAL WAR 2 THE GAME JUST FEELS SO PACKED AND PRETTY AND HNNNGH

Stacking was on sale for 600 points, so I picked it up a couple of days ago. It's fun.

I fucking knew it. I shouldn't have listened to dumb reviews that said it was a 4/10 game.

I'm gonna buy it soon definitely.

Also, I've been playing Earth Defense Force 2017. It's really fun and I'm guessing it's at least 5x more fun with a friend. Sadly it doesn't have online co-op, but when my friend comes home from his vacation, we're going to blast through the game in split-screen.

If it looks like the kind of game you like then you shouldn't really listen to anything a reviewer has to say past 'Glaringly flawed game mechanics'. Player scores are generally better.

I heard that its too short for its own good and has no replay incentive, that said, I plan on picking it up when its around $20.

Got back into Bad Company 2, not as good as I remember being, but its still a lot of fun. I also finished the story mode of MK9 and still need to finish Dead Space 2.

You're right. I usually do that, but with Splatterhouse, I decided to not buy it. I was wrong.

Is it worth 10€? (12$~) I saw it on sale yesterday at a local store and I'm a bit interested.

I grabbed Dead Block off of XBLA on a whim. It's short-ish, and the soundtrack is god awful, but the couch co-op is fun. A tad pricey for what is is, but worth picking up if you have extra points, or if it goes on sale.

I tried out the Dead Block demo, seemed like it had potential if I had some co-op buddies, but sorta got boring. Is there anything to the game besides putting the stuff up on windows and doors? Also, I dont think I have you on Live, DI, what is your gamertag?

Not bad, just painfully average. You might enjoy it, but there are far better SP shooters out there. Again, multiplayer is where the game really shines.

Splatterhouse is pretty long. I'm maybe 6 hours in and only 25% done. You can restart from the beginning with all of your moves whenever you'd like, too, so lots of replay value.

Ok so Terraria is pretty fun. Been playing it with Dripik....
It's not like Minecraft though, beyond the mining. There's a lot more adventure and exploration involved, and less focused on the creative aspect.

The problem with the demo is that you don't really get to experience how hectic the game can actually get. Some of the maps are downright huge, almost to the point of being a problem. Still fun. That being said, the whole premise of the game is putting blockades on doors and windows, or at least until you find your upgrades and traps. Each character has something different.

Although I think dead block is split screen only, which is lame.

My gamertag is Johnny Truant21

I checked the Dead Block demo out too. Honestly, I thought it was bad. Something that would get boring after an hour or two.

So Splatterhouse totally has boobs in it. You find little scraps of your girlfrien's pictures and some of them were sort of risque, but I never finished any of them until like chapter 8, and then bam! Boobies.

Something I forgot to mention: If you die, the loading time to respawn is ridiculous. Be ready to start an area, play for 15 seconds, die and then wait at least a minute to try again. This doesn't bother me as much as how enemies don't really telegraph attacks. Still fun, though.

The recent steam sale has kind of hit my wallet. As a result I now own Mass effect, Civ V, Kotor (I have this for the xbox but it's a lot more convenient to have it on PC), and a bunch of Quake games. Started off Mass effect tonight, pretty neat. I like that Shepherd actually talks. I also decided to do my first ever dark side run of Kotor, kind of hard if you don't like being a giant evil asshole.

I picked up Terraria too. I've only spent maybe twenty minutes or so on it, but from what I can tell it's pretty fun. Probably better in multiplayer if it's anything like Minecraft.
