Wow, that's certainly a lackluster response to an important update. Well done, bros.
I keep looking back at how radically different the crossbow in the opening movie is to the one in the gameplay. The one in the opening movie only has a single ammo launcher and the bow looks far different from the gameplay version, which has two ammo launchers. I wonder if they're going to make the gameplay version fit the movie version, or vice versa? Seeing as how the version in the game would probably require two launchers, it seems like a better idea to redesign the movie version... but could they do that easily, or would they need to re-do the cinematic sequences from scratch? Do they have the funds to do that?
I bring this up simply because it looks like they're making revisions to the game models to better resemble the models used in the FMVs- Stranger's shirt, which inexplicably took on a green tint in the game, has become the same shade of red as in the movies, and the Grubb skin has become pastier, to match their anemic appearance in the movies. There are, however, many glaring inconsistencies between the in-game models and the FMV models that have yet to be addressed, and I just hope JAW's eye for detail is going to be as sharp as it's already been when tackling those things.
Oh, and a quick request- please get some more voice actors to give the game's dialogue a little variation? I'm sure there are members of JAW's staff that can do voices. And perhaps a female voice actor or two to play the parts of the female characters? Even if they ARE basically just the same CG models. I know it's meant to be comedic, but it came across to me, personally, as distracting, considering that the voices already had such little variation to begin with. Also, seeing as how this game presents the audience with some of the first female characters in Oddworld, that is somewhat momentous and one would have thought they'd have treated that with a little more care...
