"I didn't go to space because it would have killed a lady." is not depth. Cid was such a fucking throwaway character it's not even funny. He was just arbitrarily around to explain why the party got the rocket, use the name Cid and utilize the Dragoon moveset. Same with Barret, they just had these kind of arbitrary tragic backgrounds, Barret's being slightly better/remotely plausible.

I never even played Mortal Kombat 4, I had the original three on Genesis then got MK Trilogy with my Playstation and stopped there.

My love for Mortal Kombat died when I saw the movie, and also, for Tekken. It raped the canon, and to my shock, I discovered a DragonBall movie where the actor who plays Goku is not AZN and his hair looks plastic. Also, Piccolo looks like Doctor Evil painted green. I'm going to forget it exists.

It isn't the most famous; there is no 'most famous'. It's all based on opinion.

I don't like Mortal Kombat. I enjoyed the early Tekken games and Virtua Fighter, nothing else really got to me.

Also, a very old but good beat 'em up was Bloody Roar for the PlayStation. A relic of my childhood, I'd love to play it again.
