But now we know something is going on. What difference does it make whether or not there is a name to it? We will still have the same reaction to a let down. They should give us a name.

There are several projects. Do you want them all identified? What if half of them are then cancelled, but we still see several projects? That's 50% disappointment even though several projects were released.
I honestly don't see the urgency in finding out what they are. Understandably we're all
curious, and of course we're all
excited, but we're already looking forward to what's coming next, whether we know what it is or not. The press has already shown a huge reaction to the news that JAW are working on something, so when the time comes that OWI want an announcement made, they know it will be reported widely and vigorously.
Until that time, what do they gain exactly by clueing us in? Every single detail revealed is a chance to disappoint, every micro-announcement a distraction from production and carefully crafted PR scheduling. We seem to have ended up in a world where a tweet can be considered an acceptable canvas size for news, where each new episode name and microplotpoint is something to be waited for with baited breath.
Think about the initial JAW announcement another way: It wasn't announcing projects, it was announcing a partnership. Comparable to the time between the release of MO and the reveal of SW, we're currently in a place where we know
who are making the games, but not
what those games are. If, a few months before Stranger was first announced, we'd been shown a press release saying "Oddworld Inhabitants are making their next game" we'd have gone "Yeah... And?"
