Firstly the man was a cult leader. Cult leader always equates to trouble, he probably started off in New Orleans with his books of Crowley getting his dick sucked by any girl stoned enough to not care.
Secondly, he actually has no idea what a commandment is. The ninth commandment of LaVeyan Satanism is a statement, not a commandment. It's also one of those things that looks deep and meaningful until you realize how superficial it actually is.
Third, his ideals aren't actually his. He's just another in a long line of people who have pillaged Nietzschian philosophy and you know managed to totally miss the point about nihilism.
Lastly, the church of LaVeyan Satanism has less right to be a church than the church of Scientology. Because LaVeyan Satanism isn't a religion. It's a mostly recycled philosophy given a religious spin to appeal to all the dumb nihilistic rich kids.
Oh also I'm all for loyalty, devotion and love for all things, so I disagree with it on an ethical level too.
