Would Lorne consider the Wii?

I think the Wii has a lot of potential for the more casual side of Oddworld games.

Simple platformers, party games, rpg-lites...

What do you think?

I don't like the Wii, but I know there are gazillions of people who do. I dunno what might become of an Oddworld game going through that process. It might work for a FPS, like Fangus Klot style, but Abe doesn't really have that many motions you could perform.

I seriously, seriously hope not. I don't want to see any crappy watered down versions of one of my favourite game series on there. Sorry to be so negative, but I think the Wii would ruin Oddworld.

I've never used a Wii, but I think any 2D games (if there ever is any more) should be on the PC, and any 3D games (if there ever is any more) should be in the Playstation. I haven't used an Xbox that much, but I prefer PS controllers. Also, it's simple to run PS games on a PC.

I wouldn't say that exactally. Sure Odworld best suted to the Playstaion and PC but having Oddworld on let's say DSiWare or WiiWare wouldn't be bad at all.

I thought about that too. A classed based FPS like TF2 would work.

Also, why do you think Munches Oddysee was released on X-box? Because it was more powerful (newer? not entirely sure about how valid that is) than the PS2. Wii would be on the bottom of his priority list, if it was even on there...

Too dang right. I doubt another game will be released, ever; let alone Oddworld, and let... uh... even more alone on the Wii. But, you never know. Wii'll have to wait and see.

Best selling console? Jesus it must be good then. I've got a Wii myself, and fair enough you can avoid the shoveware but theres hardly many top quality titles to choose from compared to say, the 360. There would be absolutly no piont in making any Oddworld game for the Wii, the motion controls are shite anyway...

A 2D Oddworld game on Wiiware would be an interesting project.
For high quality games, ignore the shovelware and look at games like Mario Galaxy 2 and Madworld.

Unless it's a rail shooter, I'd get the Slig FPS on the pc or xbox/ps3 for the better controls, better graphics and the less frustrating experience.

I may be short sighted here but I can't see the benefits of putting a 2D Oddworld game on the Wii, other than it being the best selling console so they might make more money off it. I hope that OWI never ends up making a decision like that just for the moolah.

For high quality games on the Wii check Dead Space: Extraction.
