What's your favourite Total War game?

For all your strategy fans out there, what's your favourite game from the Total War series? My favourite would have to be Medieval II, with the epic graphics and many hours of fun. It has great replay value. After that, I'd probably say Rome was one of the best, but Alexander was pretty dodgy.

I'm kinda looking forward to Napoleon total war, but I probably won't get it until I manage to upgrade my computer. Empire Total War is loads of fun, but some of the battles lag horribly, and the "Runs better on Core i7!" message makes me want to cry.

So, what are your thoughts?

EDIT: I made this as a poll but for some reason it's not showing up,

I haven't played Medieval II and newer Total War games

My favour is stuck between Shogun: Total War and Rome: Total War.

I'm gonna have to say Rome even though Shogun had the ninja cutscenes.

Rome or Medieval 2.

Rome for the relative simplicity and the Spear/Horse/Archer gameplay.

Medieval for displaying a slightly more complex realm what with the religion and papal stuff. Also assassin cut scenes were pure sex.
