The Christmas List thread: "We're all greedy assholes."

So, what do you want for Christmas/Hanukkah/Whatever Holiday you false deity worshiping heathens celebrate?

Use pictures if need be.

More than anything this year, I want this.
Photobucket
It's a (scaled down) highly detailed hand painted Isaac Clarke figure. I might be given one that comes with the Ripper, not sure. I think it came in the mail already in an Amazon box.

Otherwise, Some clothes, a pair of really inexpensive Terminator 4 Figurines (T 1 and T 700 fuck yeah) UP and District 9, and a Transformer that is also already on the way.

I think being a regressive manchild has some financial advantages for my family, since individually none of this shit is more than 25$.

My collectible nerd plastic is cooler than your obscure ghost soap opera.

I can picture a solid chunk of plastic beating up some DVD's right now, actually. Bam. Pow.

I'll probably get socks and a box of sax reeds or key oil. I've gotten Emily chocolates and nectar, and I've gotten my nephew a Playstation 2. Me and my brother have an agreement that we'll buy nothing for Christmas for each other. We spend that money on each other down the pub on boxing day.

Lots of toys, XBL gold year membership, some movies, and a few art prints. I'll probably get none of the above. I'm too bad for gifts, says the wife. I told her to go fuck Santa in the hopes that it might sway him. She hasn't talked to me all day.

Last week I was browsing a computer parts catalogue and thought to myself "I really wish I wasn't Jewish, so that I could ask for some presents".

On the other hand, the other day I was given a tube full of chocolates in the shape of cock 'n' balls. Does that count?

I'm getting myself take out from Subway for christmas, something I get
maybe once a year.
I can't tell if that was a shameless ploy to make us feel sorry for you, or if you just never find the time to hit up Subway with any frequency. Either way, it seems really out of place in this thread.

As for me? I have an annoying tendency to never remember what I want when I write a gift list. This year was no different in that I wrote a list of forced, far-fetched gift ideas for things I don't really need, and didn't remember all the things I actually wanted until the list was already distributed to friends/family. I remembered a second too late I wanted quite a few videogames this year; Brütal Legend, Arkham Asylum, Ghostbusters VG, etc. *sighs*

Instead I asked for a few movies I've been meaning to get, namely City of Lost Children and Delicatessen, two amazing films by french director Jean-Pierre Juinet. Some art prints/books, custom-printed shirts, and some loose cash to make up for the things I don't trust people purchasing for me. Seriously, one of the best gifts I can get from a relative is a hundski or a gift-card credited at a generous amount to BestBuy. I stopped trusting them with getting me actual gifts a long time ago.

To be mushy for a minute, I got the best christmas gift of all not just yesterday; Nikki.

I see you're taking the Jerry route, Opro, or was the gastric bypass not enough?

The dream list:
Shit load of musical instruments in good condition
More piano music
Nintendo DSI with several games of my choosing
A cheap, efficient car in good working order
Watercolor supplies
Tropico 3
Jeans that fit nicely.

Realistic List:
Some money
Jeans that don't fit nicely
10% chance of getting a Wii
An instrumnt in good condition
Getting my piano repaired

Why the hell would someone give you jeans for a christmas present?

I mean, gift voucher for clothes, maybe if they're unimaginative, but to actually go out and buy the item of clothing that is most difficult to choose and fit... craziness.

Are you kidding? That's a step up from the usual socks.

My birthday is on the 20th of December, which also means less presents for christmas and birthday respectively. My mum and dad usually cash in on a total of ten gifts, or five if they get me a large present. My mom already bought me my birthday gift, she paid in for a nice leather jacket I've had my eye on. It was thirty bucks, marked down from sixty, marked down from two-hundred-something.

Yes, we are in fact so poor that a thirty dollar present counts as a large present.

Dunno about anywhere else, but half-decent jeans cost a pretty penny in the US. Sometimes you'll pay seventy dollars for a scrappy bland pair of them.
