Oddworld Forums colors

Today I purchased a brand new monitor for my PC, and while testing it out on the forums I noticed that the colours of the tables were completely whacked. At school once before I visited the forums in my computer class, and the colours were simlar to what I'm experiencing now. On different computers at school the colours have been "normal."

The following is a photo I took of my monitor as the forums appear now. Tell me, is this what you all have been experiencing since you joined (I've been living in a fantasy land all this time)?

The forums as I thought they should have been were much greener than the photo below shows. Right now the forums seem to be a cherry colour through my monitor. Oddly, the logo is exactly the same.



Any information you have on how the colours are displayed would be appreciated!

I don't see it very clearly, but the colors are what I am experiencing the whole time since I first visited the forums.

Those colors are normal. Your old monitor probably had a weak or faulty electron gun.

That áre the normal forums colours. Nothing badabout them.

They are normal, Sydney. *looks to that picture* aargh....my eyes...that's so unclearly. Anyway, the colors of the Forums are cool, better than the colors of other Forums (i don't like light colors, when i post something at night, i'll get headache). -_-'

Yeah, that screenshot is what the forums have always (well, since they moved over to UBB) looked like.

How about taking a screenshot of what you thought it was supposed to look like, so that we can compare the two? I'm curious.

that's roughly what i've always seen, too.

but HERE's something to complain about. the other day, when i logged on, the brown bits [the bits with the topics on them, not the background] had turned white! that meant that i couldn't read the text unless i highlighted it. it became slightly easier later on, because the colour changed to bright yellow, but it was still difficult. this problem lasted for the rest of the day, and then when i logged on the next day it was back to normal. can anyone explain this?

Yep, that's what I see both at work and home too. I always thought the colors suited Oddworld.

I can't exactly show you what it used to look like, as my old monitor is packed away and in storage. All I can say is that things were so much greener, the listings were rich, apple greens. It was quite a shock to learn that everyone has been seeing Oddworld Forums with these cherry colours, but they're gradually growing on me.

If ever I get my old monitor up, I'll take another photo.

I see the the same colors (the good ones), but they are darker. That's because of my monitor. When I play games, I can hardly see the background because it's to dark.

Everytime I play Oddworld on someone elses PC, a new world opens before my eyes. so actually I should better by a new monitor to. (As a matter of fact I also need a new PC, but hey, once I have an Xbox I won't need the pc anymore to play games.
