Here is some pre-order news: A news report on Yahoo stated that retailer Toys R Us Inc. said on Wednesday that its online store sold out its first batch of XBox game units in 30 minutes on Tuesday. Toysrus.com and its online partner Amazon.com Inc. began preselling the XBox this week, but only in a bundle for $200 above the suggested retail price.

A spokesman for Toysrus.com said that its entire batch sold out online in about 30 minutes.

Chris Co Depot: Best deal you will find is at EBworld,go online and get it while it lasts,it is said that it will last only days more. You get a choice, the most popular package as of now is MO,Halo, and DOA 3, all for $499.99. No tax unless you live in Nevada. About $14 for 2 day mail, and 20 for next day air. They will ship on November 7th,a day before the actual launch date. You also get an extra controller.

It's the best deal out there, there will be none other better.

As for buying just the XBOX and let's say MO with another controller it will be very difficult. With that deal you still will pay about $420. So the EB world deal you still get two of the top games.

From what I understand from various sources is that on launch day 11-8 ,all the stores selling will have lines of 200-400 people, you will have to get there something like 12-24 hours before hand to secure a spot near the front of the line.On top of that you will still not be 100% secure due to the individual stores giving out priority numbers,it's a possibilitie as of now. Another negative is that each store will be getting only 25-50 XBOX's on launch day with 200-400 people waiting and fighting in line.

Anyway if I hear something good I'll clue you in.

A litte something more for you:

Game Crazy

Not only does the Game Crazy -- Hollywood Video's game store -- only offer bundles, but the bundles they are offering are selling quickly. One store had a total allotment of 25 systems, and it's already dwindled down to 3, with two months to go until launch. You've got three options for bundles at Game Crazy:

Bundle 1: Xbox, two games, second controller = $440
Bundle 2: Xbox, two games, second controller, memory card = $475
Bundle 3: Xbox, two games, second controller, memory card, DVD remote = $500
The price structure's much more manageable, and you're able to choose two games from a general list, instead of having to stick with set packages.

Game Crazy Total: $440, but find out if they charge tax,and what type of delivery is available.Still think EB world is best at the present time.

I'll keep you posted, but I still believe all should avoid the gameday launch purchase in person.

Hi Steel Shark, thanx for nothing

It's sad I guess, but your talking about American Xbox's. Do you know IF and WHERE you can pre-order a European Xbox? (The PAL system, or whatever it's called?) And off course the European Games?

Oddipus: It's very complicated. My situation is that I have an American T.V over in Belgium.I can play my American XBOX there.

You would have to purchase an American T.V. and an American XBOX to play there. If you want to play an American XBOX in Belgium you will need a Voltage converter for electricity to change from 110 to 220 as well.

To play an American XBOX on your European T.V. you would have to convert the signal from the American XBOX which is the NTSC version to the PAL version of Europe. You should go to an appliance or electric store and get a converter there.

Bottom line is that you would still have to get American games shipped to Belgium all the time, not a good idea in the long run.It would be best to wait for XBOX in Europe to come in March, just an extra 4 months,I know it's a shame you have to wait even longer, but all good things happen with a little patience. In the mean time play some PS2 games,or PC games.

As for buying a European XBOX you should keep an eye out for deals there ,I know nothing of what places and when they will be available.

Too many complications and cost for anyone to get an American XBOX early in Europe. My case is simple because I already have T>V's in both Belgium and America,i'll also be getting a European XBOX in March as well.

Do you have a PS2, if so get ICO and MGS2,Herdy gerdy, Jax and daxter,Devil may cry,Draken2, Shadowman 2,Maximo,Silent hill 2, and more,to hold you over until XBOX gets to Europe.

Hey I'll be in Belgium in December at my studio,if you want you can come over and play XBOX games then.I'll have tons of stuff. Anyways XBOX will be there soon enough... See ya for now.

Thanx Shark

The explenation makes it all clear to me now. I'll have to wait, period.

Your deal off comming to your studio sounds great! Can you post or e-mail some details about when and where?

To kill the time in the meantime I can't play to much games (only AO and AO). I'm one off the poor bastards that hasn't got a killer-PC nor a game-console. (An old sega doesn't count, right!)

These are hard times, they make you want to play so bad (with their news, screenshots, mediafiles,...), but on the other hand they let you wait (for 3 years allready?).

Anyway, let me know something.
Thanx
