Fire works

So..it's already year 2002 here and the year is changing everywhere around the world. So..
Most of those people who even celebrate new years eve do it with fire works. Do we really need to? When you think about it, it's really money blown up to the sky..

Everyone would like to have these biggest and greatest fire works of the neighbourhood and then they are really dissappointed when the bombs aren't so cool after all. You see them everywhere.. these little rockets that make a little whining sound and blow up for just a tiny flash.. Bacause people want to have these fire works as a part of the celebration I think that the best way would be that every town would organize this great fireworks display that people would go to see. Then they wouldn't have to spend so much money for really nothing and they could still see the fireworks. And it wouldn't be a disappointment.

Fire works just last for a very short time and then the fun is over. Though they are great looking.. but they take some much money and think about all the trash that that leave in the nature. When you go out on the first day of the year you can find millions of sticks and papers that no one will pick up..

And one reson why I don't like fireworks is that my dog goes crazy because of them. She really scares them and she tries to go under a sofa or something and she's really wacko.. Her heart starts to beat faster and she runs around. It's really terrible.. And they're allowed to shoot the fire works for 24 hours... so that isn't really nice.
And some idiots always start a week before playing with them. Some kids fired a rocket right in front of us when we were walking with my dog.

Then that is also so stupid that some people fire the emergency rockets..

Andwhen you think about how dangerous the home made ones can be. Like you saw in Peru just yesterday..

I personally, don't buy fireworks for Bonfire Night (A UK event held on the 5th of November) or New Year. Instead, I just go up the mount (big hill overlooking nearby towns) and watch from there. All the people letting off fireworks is a nice sight. Nice free fireowkrs display.

Yeah, I guess you're right...
It's especially dangerous here because when people set them off they're usually drunk. Then, of course, all the drunk people DRIVE home.

I think they are wasting a bit to much money. Here in Australia they could have cut down a bit on the fireworks and used the money to help the FIVE more deliberately lit fires.
