Meechmunchie suggested that I post here, so I am doing it now (anyway that makes me one step closer to the 20 posts needed for my RP project :P).

My first glimpse at Oddworld was in PlayStation Magazine, that my uncle gave me once he finished reading it. I didn't have a playstation at the time but was still interested at reading the articles and all and found the Oddworld character pretty....well, odd.

Eventually I got my uncle's Playstation, once he bought the PS2 and one day, I tried a demo of Abe's Exodus, I immediatly loved it. I tried to get more information on Oddworld and eventually got a used copy of AE (which I couldn't finish without cheating, shame on me

).

After a while, a friend of mine had an Xbox and his mother got her hand on a copy of Munch, a copy I borrowed when I bought my own X-Box. I finished it and yearned for more and I played Stranger's Wrath, which I sadly couldn't finish because it was a rental and my Xbox stopped working

.

I recently played AO but since my computer screen was too dark, I couldn't see the bats in one level and finally flushed the game from my hard-disk. Currently waiting to see what Citizen Siege will look like even though I'm disappointed it's not a Oddworld movie (wish we could get a Odworld movie one day).

I'm a fan of Oddworld because I like how strange yet fscinating this world is. The way the Mudokons respect nature is also something that makes me like Oddworld so much and seeing how good Lorne is at telling a humoristic story that still make us think about the consequences of industrialization just amazes me.

Apart from that I love games in general (RPGs, FPS, Action, Horror), I like to draw but these days I'm more into making stuff with Photoshop (such as making my girlfriend look like she's been on a battlefield in the viking era :P).

I also hope to have some nice role-playing with the people here and discuss about the past, present and future of Oddworld with other fans.

you mean you haven't completed AO? it's better than AE and MO in my opinion.

Couldn't see the bats because of my dark screen, I had a crappy driver at the time. I eventually lost patience and decided to play something else. And the fact that we always have to do the same zone over again after dying didn't help either :P. I may get back at it, one day though. Heck, I'd by the OddBox if I could. I can,t run MO and SW but well, it's still a nice collectable item.

that's all part of the experience.

if you'd have played them in order you would have enjoyed yourself more when you discovered the QuickSave feature.

do you know how the story goes? did you know what was going on and why when you played AE before AO?

Ah, dunno, tried to translate "Infographie" which is working on Photoshop to make DVD covers, advertisments and all. I guess I should've said Graphism or something. :P

I watched the video that was included in AE so I had a little idea of what happened. I couldn't get my hand on a copy of AO when I had a PlayStation, only AE, which I was lucky to find in a box full of used games in a store nearby.

As I said, I may get back to it eventually, dunno why, though. I'm more into playing Skull Tag these days. That and Ultima Online. :P

On an off-topic side-note, I can't wait to have my 20 posts count, my first post RPG idea is near-completion.
