Brand new Meep image!

Here's something to talk about. Look at this picture of an in-game graphical Meep! I think they look great. Quirky and hysterical. When I saw it I thought of a "one-eyed-sheep-meets-the-Muppets."

The textures are excellent, look at the shine in the eye and the sheep wool.

The original image is heavily shadowed, so the second one is slightly lighter in order to reveal more details.

i always thought that they were OW sheep...

this is slightly irrelevant, but you know when the OW Forums picture isn't quite loaded up, so it's still a bit grainy, the meep looks like some kind of vampire meep...

WOOOOOOOW, THIS LOOKS GREAT!!!!!!, the shine and the little veins in the eye are awesomes, I think they are another life form to experiment with them in vykker labs

I don't get you folks...

It's so blocky and polygonal!!!

I thought the X-box could perfect these things!!! All they did was improve..

Personally.. I think Oddworld would have been more true to its fans if it had stuck to 2d.. maybe improved 2d..

I feel that blocky 3d models will ruin the whole aura we experienced in the past 2 games... That's just me. i hate 3d.

Nothing in the entire world is perfect. There is always a fault wiv sumthing. I wud pay u alot of munni if u cud come up wiv something/sum 1 that is perfect. And i mean NO flaws wot so eva.

Compared to other games it looks really great. The look of the creature is nice and odd. But I have to agree with sodd a little: it's still blocky.
I think we have to wait another few generations to see real smooth ingame images.

That's why I will not complain, I know it can be done better, but compared to other stuff it's really good.

We probably won't see meeps that close up, so from a reasonable distance they'll look smooth. As long as the major characters have high polygon counts, minor characters like this might not matter so much.

I guess, anyway. Maybe it's just so they can have twenty meeps on screen at once without the system taking a FPS hit.

Everything about the game is cool, it wont matter if the graphics are shite because we will be paying too much attention to the game than the graphics. I am though having a bit of doubt about the xbox, it says its way cool but i cant see a game without so many polys and edges. Playstation 2 pays more attention to the smoothness of their games. The game "THE BOUNCER" has terrific graphics and not one poly can be seen. Though the good thing aboud da box is that the FMV sequences will kick ass. Overall the chicken is eating the lettuce.... case open!
