Xbox Dashboard

Recently on Xbox.com they've posted about the 'Xbox Dashboard'. This is a fancy name for the menu & options you get when you start up the Xbox system without a game inserted. I thought some of you might be interested in getting info & pics of it. If so, click here.

It looks pretty cool. I like it.

I found the hard disk screen interesting, by looking at that, it looked to me that there will be a possiblity of saving games onto the hard drive instead of only in the memory card.

Oh, I always just assumed you'd be able to save games to HDD

I liked the 'comopose a soundtrack' feature, I was hoping for something like that.

Yeah, like in the quake games, where you can put any Cd to use as a soundtrack during the game.
I really liked the XBOX interface. It remeinded me the menu screens of Abe's Exoddus, LOL.

Why is it so cool? You can get the same effect with any console: just turn the in-game music off and put one of your own CDs on your hi-fi.

It's just me... but I don't like changing game's soundtracks mostly (apart from when I play snowboarding and ski games with my brother). But for games like Oddworld and Final Fantasy, the thought of listening to something other than the soundtrack music is unimagineable to me!!! Simply because I love the music that is played as it suits the games. The same goes for a lot of other games that I like.

Middlesboogie, some of us don't have a "hi-fi" including myself, so it is useful.
