Oddworld Just a tad lost here...

Hey everyone, last time I was here it was the 11th of the 4th 2007!
Then I got a birthday email from the forums so here I am, and my love for all things oddworld has once again poured out of me.

So I got a question here... I took the time to snoop about and gather some intel, from what I've seen with this citizen siege + online game, is this going to be the launch pad for future oddworld titles and films depending on the sucess of this?

I remember reading years ago something about there being an interest in starting oddworld all over again from the start, with a film to go along with each game... Im currently 19 now, will I be in my late 30's by the time all this stuff about oddworld is out?!

I don't know if I can wait/still be alive for that long!!

When I around twelve, Lorne predicted that the Oddworld Quintology would have been completed in ten to fifteen years. We’re halfway toward that deadline already, and we’ve only had one Quintology title in that time. The time between Munch’s Oddysee and Stranger’s Wrath seemed unbearably long. It’s been a year and a half since Lorne announced Citizen Siege and, as he points out, all of the Academy Award nominated films for the last two years were in development for four to seven years before they were even greenlit.

Point is, if being an Oddworld fan has taught me anything at all about the entertainment industry, it’s that you have to be patient. Incredibly patient. Especially with Oddworld. I’ve been a registered member of the Oddworld Forums for almost eight years, and in that time I’ve only obtained two games and a book.

Damn, guess theres nothing else to do but kick back and keep an eye on current events as the clock ticks by...

You mentioned something about an oddworld book, is that still in print and are both oddworld PSX titles still around for PC?

You can still buy the brilliant retrospective The Art of Oddworld Inhabitants from Ballistic Publishing. As for the Abe titles for PC, your best bet is eBay or an online store. Check out the Buy Thread for ideas of where to look.
