quick question.the hammer like weapon tartarus has in halo 2(the brute boss).what is it? a gravity hammer?

Yes. It can be used to knock grenades away, has a depleting energy bar, and can be (partially) parried by the sword.

Best weapon in the game?

Troop Hog with the following configuration:

1 Spartan Driver
1 Marine with Fuel Rod Gun/Rocket Launcher (FRG has more rounds though) riding Shotgun
2 Marines with Beam Rifle/Sniper Rifles on the left and right
1 Marine with Fuel Rod Gun/Rocket Launcher at the back

I had that once, on Heroic.

Now I'm playing through on Legendary, and I managed to get three Beam Rifles in the back, and a FRG riding Shotgun. Still effing AWESOME!

Or use the same configuration on a Scorpion. Only you'll lack the speed to make some decent Roadkill.

For a single weapon, I have to say the Brute Shot. Great damage, and Killer Melee.

I've only ever used a troop 'hog once in what I've played, and that was simply getting from the C*********** to the hornets.

Combinations I have found effective, especially in Halo 2 with homing rockets, is a basic LAAV Warthog with a gunner and rocketeer. I pick it over the scorpion every time (and the combo is only available when there is also a scorpion available.

I do love that in Halo 3 I don't have the blind incentive to supplement every duel-wieldable weapon with another. They are perfectly effective by themselves (along with grenades, equipment, melee and weapon switching which becomes more convenient when single-weilding).

The one I like the best is the one I got from watching those pro tournaments:

Charged plasma pistol and a whack to the head.

It always pissed my cousin off that I could sneak up behind her and get her 10 times in a row. Even though she had the sword and rocket launcher the whole game.

This is the best halo theme... EVAR! Is he made of midgets or something? cause that was awesome.

Is that the skull when you have to defeat that first anti aircraft wraith? Just don't kill the wraiths as you are trying to get the skull, it spawns and despawns with the wraiths, so if you kill one, the skull despawns.

ok i jumped in a ghost and straight away zoomed over there and jumped up without destroying or killing anything but it still wernt there!iv also tried jumping up after killing everything but still nothing.any suggestions?

You have the right building right? The one you can only get onto with a grenade jump/warthog? It's not the building with the sniper rifle, but that circular building on the far end of the clearing?

Ahhhh yes, Halo 3. A FPS I will likely not put down for years to come, much longer if I manage to scrape up the money for XboxLive.

Currently working on a few skulls, I wimped out and just got the guide to getting them.

Legendary's a bitch to play single because of the retarded amount of snipers, but I'm getting there. So I just play heroic when I'm not trying to accomplish anything. Of course, Grunt Birthday Party is always on, I love the confetti

. I also keep catch and cowbell on for nutso grenade and rocket launcher action.

I started on Heroic and beat it in a day and a half I beat Legendary in a couple days about a month ago watch after the after credits thing for a little bonus video by the way! However, I feel the need to go back a lot and play through the campaign still because it was and still is that fun and interesting/challenging. I only need like 3 or 4 achievements until I get Security Armor and the Katana as well! I'm sad though I'm only a Major right now I haven't been playing a lot the past couple weeks because of all these exams and finals for the semester will be, added to our connection in this apartment sucks so I've lost 11 experience points because of router crapping out. Hopefully, I'll get to General by Christmas time.

Campaign sucked.

But I wasn't surprised. Halo's story line is incredibly shallow.

"Oh, watch out for the covenant! They're a group of religious zealots composed of hundreds, if not thousands, or alien races! Oh, oh boy, they're coming to destroy earth and all human life. Wait, what? They only sent six races? Well that's not TOO bad....Because we have Master Chief! He's so mysterious and full of one-liners! Huzzah!"

The complete Halo story isn't bad. But the parts we see in the game is an average superhero who can't die story indeed. Doesn't mean the game wasn't enjoyable though.
