Sorry but I wasted 5 (nearly 6) months of my life attempting this crap. I've tried my hardest and tried to have maximum focus. No distractions, such as sounds, wind, people.. anything. I find that anyone who will want to commit to this pile of rubbish is an idiot.

There is no such thing. I've compared physical feelings to breezes/itches/slight wrinkles shifting etc to the "feeling of a psi ball" It all felt like the list of previous physical feeling. I feel like I am the only person with a brain to attempt this crap AND take precautions to try and whip up some evidence. I've blocked out all possible distractions, blocked out openings where breeze may sweep in through etc. It's all lame and a waste of time. Almost 6 months of good time wasted.

I swear to God these kids are lying to themselves instead of using their real brain power to use logic. I guess it's easier to assume than actually think nowadays.

Please don't make the same foolish mistake I did and use your precious time for something more useful.

P.S Sorry for the wording.

You know, sometimes those actually really help.
Like with me, I need background noise (nothing major, just something small like a fan or quiet music going) when I do this kind of stuff.

Hm... after much thought (about five or so seconds after viewing this thread again...) I think that Telekenetics fall under the phrase "See what one wants to see". If I thought that there was a stranger following me, I'd begin to "notice" people around me acting shady and indeed following me. Another example is ghosts. People who believe in them claim to see them because they want to see them.
Dunno if this idea has been brought forth before or whatnot, but...meh.

Psi-balls may also be made due to lack of blood to the eyes or head, casuing one to see spots where they are focusing. And the part about being able to feel the energy on their fingers and though their body, I've practiced this and came up to one conclusion. If you think about/concentrate on a body part or section, you'll be able to "feel" more of what is going on with whatever body part you are thinking about. Kind of like thinking about breathing or walking... you start to notice things.

Again, I'm sorry if someone already posted this idea but... you know me, I can't help it.

Well, I know I know this won't change of the skeptics. The people that say "The Earth is flat dammit! And though enough talking I can prove it!!!!!!!"
But this may help the people out there who need that extra push to believe so here ya go: http://www.psipog.net/blog/2006/06/r...e-results.html
Oh and I don't want to know why you think this is still fake I and the people who are trying to believe don't care.

Now if they were to do something like that in a lab where the inherent variables and external forcings (there are a lot of them) could be controlled, or at least measured and deducted from the results, the equipment would be of a higher and more reliable calibre and be operated by learned scientists so that the experiment can be repeated and the results verified by third parties and then published and further investigated, we might be getting somewhere.

It is unfortunate then, that they seem content to keep it to themselves and publish only on their own website. And scientifically, this little investigation is significantly lacking. Even if they are accurate, reliable and true to their claims, the nature of their experiment, the methodology, verification and forum is quite unacceptable. I can't just take this as evidence.

If it is true, and this radiation is ionising, I would advice ceasing all psi-related activities. Regardless of its origin, such radiation is dangerous to human beings.

It seems like every time I meet someone like that (which is often, as my brother is a spiritual healer), they insist how their theories are definately true and can be proven scientifically. Yet, strangely, when you challenge them to actually undergo proper experimental procedure, they change the subject.

The Australian Skeptics Society and its international equivalents pay for kooks to attempt to prove their pet theories. There are huge rewards for anyone who can prove the existence of telepathy or its equivalents under proper scientific method. And yet the awards have never been claimed. Strange that.

I've noticed something.

The people who don't believe tend to demand evidence, and when they get it, they just plain deny it as fake.

See, now, it's this kind of thing that pisses me off.

Now granted, a lot of things are obviously fake (I.E. 9/11, David Blaine, Bush's credibility, etc.) but some things aren't blatantly fake.

This is where evidence against psionics seem to falter. It's usually either strings, or some ridiculous and probably improbable method.

Usually, not always.

There is a million dollars in it for you if you can demonstrate it in controlled conditions. Seriously. They will pay- it is more than worth it to revolutionise science in this way. You can't do it yet though, you need to get some form of known presence for these abilities so they can sort the big boys from the deluded masses, and a written account from an academic witness.

Unless you psypoggers like to be a disbelieved minority accused of delusion and/or dishonesty. No one has claimed the prize yet. Their claimed abilities have faded away under controlled conditions.

A skeptic is not a cynic. We want you to convince us with evidence. But only if that evidence is up to scratch, and an online video is not.

Please, if you genuinely have tapped something unknown to modern science, contact the James Randi Educational Foundation. They want you to provide scientific evidence of supposed perinormal activity. The reward is just the incentive, it is a scientific matter at heart.

You don't have to of course, but if you really want to be taken seriously by anyone, you know what to do. I can't say fairer than that.

Very nice. I liked it.

For all of you nonbelievers out there I am here to set the story straight. I once guided a photon torpedo into a small shaft thus destroying a horrible menace to the galaxy by using only my mind. A friend of mine almost got to it first but it didn't go in. It just impacted on the surface.

Interesting. Only the FAQ on the actual site tells a very different story.

PsiPog claims this is from the FAQ:
:
The first $10,000 of the prize money will be paid by check, as stated in the Challenge rules, immediately upon the successful demonstration of their claim. The prize money is held in the form of bonds as a way to publicly show that the money really does exist. These immediately convertible bonds will be awarded to the Challenge winner within 10 days of passing the formal test. The manner of transfer of these bonds will be at the discretion of the JREF and the Challenge winner, in accordance with acceptable legal standards.
However, the MDC FAQ states:

:
The first $10,000 of the prize money will be paid by check, as stated in the Challenge rules, immediately upon successful demonstration of the claim. Arrangements will be made with Goldman Sachs to liquidate the remaining $990,000 and present it to the winner within ten days of passing the formal test.
There is also a whole section devoted to the frequently asked question "I heard the prize money doesn’t really exist and that it’s all just a scam." and answers all the issues raised on PsiPog and presenting themselves and/or the investment firm Goldman Sachs as legally culpable if payment goes awry.

Either it has changed since that page on PsiPog was uploaded and they have not bothered to change it, thus directing supposedly psi-users away from critical testing, or else was deliberately composed that way, thus directing supposedly psi-users away from critical testing.

Either way, that does not reflect well on PsiPog and Peebrain. Perhaps they are hiding something?

I've seen the topics people discuss on those forums, and their hopes for the future in which people trained in psi work in the public service for the good of all, where it is a subject in school etc. Generally a world where it is accepted across the board..

I say now that this is NEVER happen. Not while they shy away from any sort of controlled testing environment. If it were real you'd think it would be everywhere, but these people have deliberately shut themselves off from the world and scientific credibility by refusing to perform under acceptable conditions. Intellectual dishonesty or psychic elitism? It's like they have a personal vendetta against skeptics. I remind you that a skeptic is not one who dismisses new concepts out of hand (that is cynicism) but has an open mind. But only credible, repeatable and compelling evidence will open that door. We give them every opportunity, but its just not their thing.

There is this concept known as the perinormal. It refers to that which appears to be paranormal but is in fact both real and a natural phenomena. It is a retroactive designation, before scientific discovery it is thought paranormal, afterwards it is normal. An example that we all know is electromagnetism, and we can easily see why it was so.

Psypoggers claim, though not in so many words, that their abilities are perinormal. If this is justified, a well devised preliminary will yield positive results, good indication that there is actually something to test, and it can be examined in more detail, and with more accuracy. If abilities such as psychokinesis are true perinormal phenomena then it is quite possible to demonstrate in a controlled environment.

I'm optimistic enough to assume that most do not desire to exclude anyone from their world. I want to be convinced. So convince me.

Randi and Dawkins on the perinormal.

Ah, we are high school boys,
the miserable high school boys.
