Max, the idea is just like all the Oddworld fights in Fan Corner. Players create a character, and every time I get a pair of them I write what happens in their fight. I'm the commentator, y'see? Although I'm leaving for the French Alps for a week tonight so I might have to ask someone else to do it while I'm away...
And DH, the reason I'm not allowing humans is because we would win most fights due to our superior intelligence.
Anyway...
Welcome to Earth Fights Extraordinaire, with your cliche-using, over-emphatic, bullshit-talking hostess; One, Two, Middlesboogie!
Our first bout is between SilverFyre the wolf, an experienced fighter who is willing to battle to the death, and Capricorn, the sharp-horned pygmy goat with an attitude!
And the fight ensues! Capricorn bleats challengingly, and charges SilverFyre, who doesn't see him coming in time due to her dodgy peeper. And SilverFyre is down, with Capricorn on top! But SilverFyre bounces right back, and bites Capricorn on the nose! Ooh, that made him cross! He's getting ready to charge again! He runs quickly, but SilverFyre runs towards him and leaps over him!
They're both standing back to back now. They both whirl round fast, but SilverFyre turns round faster, and she has the advantage! Capricorn hates all canid creatures, and he wants to finish her off, but she stops him in his tracks with her hypnotic howl! Capricorn is in a trance-like state, and he stays that way while SilverFyre bites him by the scruff of his neck, and tosses her head back with the intent of flinging him out of the ring!
Capricorn slices through the air, and lands in a crumpled heap in the corner! Ooo, that had to have hurt! SilverFyre howls triumphantly; it looks as though she's won! But Capricorn became de-hynotised with the impact of landing, and he gets up shakily, bleats, and charges! Too late does SilverFyre turn round and see him, and Capricorn headbutts her in the side, and she's unconscious! One... two... three... four... five... six... seven... eight... nine... ten... she's still down!
The winner is Capricorn!
That surprised everybody! Talk about beginner's luck!
And so concludes bout one. I now need two more creatures for bout two. After we've got through sixteen bouts, the winners will be paired off for the quarter-finals.
