Damn you GameCube!

I don't know how many of you are RE fans. Disappointingly, Nintendo's GameCube has scored the rights to the Resident Evil series, with a remake of the original Resident Evil. It looks awesome, but I'm just mad because I don't want to get every next generation system there is. I've already got a PS2 and I'm getting an Xbox. I don't want a GameCube.

Having said that, the screenshots look spectacular, as does the mpeg.

All these different consoles can get really annoying. I have to get a PS2 just so I can continue to play the Final Fantasy series (even though the rumors are that it will be multi-platform for FFXI which is online, so I may be getting it for one game).

True, you get heaps of other cool games, but at the cost of the current next generation systems, not everyone can afford them all. It's OK for those of us that work or have parents that will buy us the systems for b'day, Xmas, etc. But I know when I was a teenager, I'd have no hope in getting even an Xbox unless I got it for 2 Xmases and 2 birthdays or shared w/ my brothers ... my parents would never spend $700 Aus on one present. Or I'd have to just wait until it went down in price.

You know?... RE ZERO and RE4 are GC exclusives ( the future titles are unknow ). If you want consolation I said to you the first RE is the only will be optimized, the rest (RE2, RE3 and RE:Code Veronica) no are going to be "remaked" will be the same than the PSX ( with very little improvements)

Anyway this first RE looks really AWESOME, man
