What the hell? Who told you Sligstorm was gonna be out in the Summer? Tell me your source, I'll flame them, and I mean it.
Citizen Siege, is a movie, and like Moxco pointed out, it'll be released around 2009. I think a game is being made of it too, but not by OWI. Which is stupid, because I know it'll get messed up.

I'm pretty sure Citizen Siege is being worked on by OWI as a movie and a game, and I have no idea when it'll be released (though 2009 seems good). As for SligStorm, that was cancelled years ago. And I don't think they're gonna pick it up again any thime soon.

hm, if another game contains like for example, Oddworld: Abe's Wraith (xD), i would describe some new stuff like...

Red Brew: Makes your fart an explosion gas that explodes in 10 seconds. Causes to explode the whole screen that is on. RUN WHEN YOU FART! As a note that it can kill ANYTHING, but especially mudokons though. Try This: Try to complete the whole game without the red brew! It's 99.99% not possible on completing the whole game without a single red brew.
Blue Brew: Makes your fart a choking gas that you can chant to choke enemies. Do not go straight to mudokons though! WARNING: In one place, there will be a maze, filled with 100 mudokons. If you manage to get to the end and explode the trapdoor box activater, all mudokons will drop down. Chant to save those 100! Can you try to avoid all?
Yellow Brew: Giant bottles, with a mudokon half drowned in it. Slap the bottle to destroy it to free the mudokon. Tip: It also works with a single bullet. But only use a single bullet so you won't try to kill the mudokon right after the bottle break.
Green Brew: Works like in AE.

Abe, those seem like... Interesting points.
However, wouldn't these brews make the game a whole lot easier?
And saving 100 Muds in one go? It's just not done I'm afraid.

They cancelled SligStorm? Pretty good going for a game that was never even started. Lorne hopes to release a game alongside the cinematic Citizen Seige, but have announced no production deals. 2009 sounds like a complete stab in the dark to me.

Citizen Siege was convinced as both a game and a movie. Citizen Siege won't be like the Spider-Man games where the game has nothing to do with the story. Citizen Siege also won't be like the Mario Bros movie in which characters with no real personalities are altered for a new media.

With our new project, Citizen Siege, we've had the chance to create original property that was designed as a film and as a game experience simultaneously. So the two influence one another as they grow.
As for the game not being made by OWI themselves, I fear not. Lorne will still have his hands in things and oversee the games creation.

In my experience, IMDB tends to be rather wooly on details regarding films still in production. I'd say that they've made a stab in the dark themselves.

This is pretty much related so here goes.

If when the Abe movie comes out and the game with it how do you think the game will play?

Will it be Abe's Oddysee for Xbox 360? Sidescrolling with 3D graphics?
Will it actually be in the 3D world like MO/Stranger's Wrath?
Most importantly will it have a new/revised plot?

I'm just wondering what you guys think.

My theory is that they'll rerelease AO and AE in a single box, possibly with SligStorm.

I think it's possibly about time this thread moved to GD.

I just don't wanna see another game like Stranger's Wrath... >_> AO and AE were the best, and MO was still very good. SW killed it, far too detached from the rest of the series and too different style.

Edit: Not to mention the bosses were far too hard and everything else except the final level was far too easy!

I never played Stranger, but though he looks pretty cool, there should have been more familiar Oddworld things. Sure, adding new things is good and all, but the only things that define it as truly Oddworld is the game title and the Vykker, and perhaps to a lesser extent Slegs. No Slig guards as one would expect, and no Scrabs or other wildlife that you'd expect to see and have to fight either. That would have been pretty interesting, but, off course...no. They weren't in there. Absolutely zilch. Dunno why that was...
And also the FPS thing. That did seem helluva lot different from the rest of the series...bring true Gamespeak back!

Actually, their probably was near to no wildlife in SW because of RuptureFarms and the such, killing them of and probably pushing them back further...but I have never really played SW so I cant say...

Have you ever played the game Dead Rising for the 360? That can have hundreds of zombies on screen at once withouy the game lagging.

You've got to remember, Stranger's Wrath is set in a different part of Mudos, and the desert might not be suitable for certain creatures.

I'll never forget how Stranger's Wrath made me feel, regardless of genre it still had an excellent story to tell. Stranger's Wrath was meant to grab a wider audience much like Citizen Siege today, so it was less odd then the other games.
